Amazon.com Product Description Fighter Maker 2 offers something you've never had before in a PS2 fighting game: the ability to build fighters from scratch using 3-D models that respond to your every direction. The customization process includes costumes, body types, special moves, camera angles, and everything you need to create a personally designed cast of fighting characters. Also included is an entire 3-D fighting game with a host of opponents ready to take your fighters apart. Once you prove your characters have what it takes to beat the locals, you can try your luck against your friend's fighters to see who can build the greatest fighter of all time.

Somewhat of a letdown June 14, 2005 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I own both Fighter Maker 1 (for PS1) and Fighter Maker 2, and I must say I'm sorely disappointed at how Enterbrain has messed up the sequel. Sure, it's nice that I finally get to customize my fighter's appearance with hairdos and outfits, but I have to ask: WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO THE EDITING ENGINE? The creation interface is so clunky and hard to use, you'll be spending literally hours to create even a simple punch or kick move. The interface in the first game worked great, and it had several features that Enterbrain actually TOOK AWAY in FM2, like being able to hold down R1 and press left or right to preview the animation without ever leaving the screen that you're working on, or the "shadows" which allow you to match up your fighter's postion from one frame to the next. And I have to mention the camera angles: in FM1, whenever your fighter moved off the screen, the camera would actually move to center the view on him/her, but in FM2, the camera is lazy and doesn't want to go anywhere. So sometimes you'll find that you can't see what the heck you're doing to your fighter because the camera doesn't cooperate. If Enterbrain ever makes Fighter Maker 3, they'd better start by bringing back FM1's interface.
VERY TIME CONSUMING!!!!!!!!!!!! February 14, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The concept for this game is too cool to be ignored. The problem is in order to make one move correctly you will be spending at least 5 hours. If you have the patience then go ahead it will pay off. I had this one guy do the stone cold stunner ( 6 hours) and the f-5 (9 hours). Also had one girl who, lets just say sucked the energy out of you. This is very cool to see when its completed but it takes FOR EVER. Also the parts given for you to create some one is pretty shallow. The fun is in creating the moves. I stoped playing cause I got vice city. If you have time and patience then buy it. Otherwise it will just end up collecting dust in your room.
A Great Game June 25, 2003 2 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is a great game!!It's Great that you can create your own fighter any way you like! You can fight right away with your new born fighters. If you don't want to create a character you can use the ones they already have for you!I like that you can make your fighter with your own style. It's fun to fight with your broithers and sisters. You can create a female or a male. You can change their hair, hair color, skin color and their clothes!Theirs so many things you can do to your character! If I never had this game my lief would be so boring!I love this game! And if I love it you would probably love it to!

I Love this game! It's great that you get to create our own fighter because everyone can have their own kind of character. They have lots of diffrent ways you can create your character! If you don't want to create a character they already have some charactrers for you to choose from!I only like to create females.I like making them wear pants. You can even try to make youself! It's fun fighting with your new born characters!I have this game and you should get it to!!
Totally Awesome Game! February 4, 2003 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the best fighter making software for [the money] in the world. First of all, notice that I called it software and not a game. The gameplay is secondary. Don't expect anything close to DOA, or VF4, or Tekken. But for [the money] this is one powerful piece of software that includes a wide variety (but not an overwhelming number) of features. You can truly create a very unique fighter, given the patience. It takes time. And the satisfaction is truly rewarding, especially if you're the person who likes to tinker and experiment. I've created 8 very different fighters with different abilities, both natural and supernatural with strengths and weaknesses. Get Fighter Maker 2. It's a blast!
