Wireless Controller November 7, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is great not to be tethered to the console, but when the batteries start going down it gets really annoying. Better use rechargeable batteries and have a spare set next to the console.
The smaller size is also great for the kids but you don't sacrifice feel.
All-in-all I think it is a good product.
Works great! September 23, 2007 I`m not sure what the other reviewers here did with their controllers, but I`ve been using the Intec wireless controller for about 6 months now without a single complaint.
First, I haven`t had a problem with the controller losing the wireless connection to the base. If you leave the item untouched for a few moments, it will log off the connection (presumably to save battery life), but the connection is easly restored by flipping the power switch to off and then back on. Admittedly I haven`t had the item much beyond ten feet away from the screen, but why would you want to sit 35 feet away from your tv anyway? Within a reasonable distance, the controller, in my experience, has been totally reliable.
It can be slightly uncomfortable over an extended period of time if you have larger hands, but not to a degree that would be excessive.
I suppose experience can vary, but this product has been totally reliable in my view and I would reccomend it without hesitation to any other gamer.
EDIT: 12/09/07- Unfortunately, a few weeks ago the controller up and went totally unusable. The handheld unit powers on, but it will not connect with the base despite repeated attempts. I enjoyed this item and have some great memories associated with it, but I can`t in good conscience reccomend the item any longer since it`s failure. Hopefully Intec will incorporate some of the design elements that worked very well in this item (such as the ability to change the intensity of the force-feedback from the base of the controller) into some of their designs for controllers in the future.
No Connection September 14, 2007 right out of the box the controller connected for about a minute. then it lost the connection and was never reestablished. after about 3 hours of trying to get the controller to connect with no success I returned the product. the controller is a nice size for small hands, but not pretty enough to hang on the wall, and since it dose not function as a controller that is all it is good for.
Connects at 2 inches, but not "35 feet" August 14, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This device doesn't work well and does not connect unless I sit right in front of my PS2. I have had much better luck with other wireless controllers and ordered this one expecting the same performance. I was highly disappointed.
convenience! October 24, 2004 a very convenient controller. It does not have wires that may get all tangled up,quite cool too and a fierce design.Very much recommended.
