Product Description Discover the beauty of the sea and take part in various activities such as swimming, exploring marine life or cataloguing tropical fish with this new Touch! Generations title. The beauty of Endless Ocean is that you can do as much or as little as you like. The relaxed and calm atmosphere of the game gives you the freedom to explore special locations such as shipwrecks and underwater ruins, discover and interact with sea-life, complete fish logs or simply relax in the soothing environment. The game begins with you onboard a diving boat, with a crewmember that provides advice and tips on finding the best locations for fish and helps you advance the storyline. Assume the role of the diver, opting to go into the water to explore sea-life at your own pace utilizing tools such as a camera or fish bait. In the cabin on the boat, you can access the fish log to check out the fish that have been spotted, as well as carry out missions like photographing marine life. These missions unlock content, such as new items to use underwater, or different diving gear that can be used to customize your diver. Navigate through the depths using the Wii remote and guide your character using the pointer's cursor, visible as a bright blue dot. Interact with fish or plants and discover new species while building up your fish log. Befriend companions like a dolphin which will become your partner and with whom you can train and swim with. The Wii's unique Wi-Fi Connection Service allows players link up with your friends. By exchanging friend codes, two players may dive and explore the ocean together. Looking to kick back and relax? Endless Ocean features several soothing modes. On the deck of the boat is a deckchair that allows you to sit and watch the sea. Alternatively in the aquarium section of the game, you can select fish they have seen and add them in an aquarium for a closer inspection. The relaxed setting is further heightened with a

Just Fun July 15, 2008 I am 32 years old and I love this game. The graphics are amazing - completely beautiful. It's probably not something I would buy for my 5 year old because to actually get anywhere in the game, you need to successfully complete goals that a young child wouldn't have the patience for. Being an adult, the challenges are not difficult but, in most cases, what completing the challenge unlocks is so worth it. When I found the manatees I was literally smiling from ear to ear. There are some silly "rewards" that you get after completing a challenge like a new hairstyle (who cares?) but for the most part, you get to unlock new areas, get certified to cave dive or get new equipment. I am completely addicted to finding objects hidden in the sand or reefs. Finding the pieces to a shattered piece of a compass gave me an unexpected surprise in opening up the pirate ship and being taken to the underwater graveyard.
This game is very beautiful and very, very relaxing. To give you an example of how relaxing it is, I actually dozed off playing it one day. This may not sound like a good endorsement for the game but when I come home from a stressful day at work and am all fired up, this game calms me down. I can play it for hours - literally. I love it. It is my absolute favorite game on the Wii and it's really going to be tough to beat.
ok July 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A nice non violent game I will let my granddaughter play. Its also cheaper than the real vacation.
Entertaining & Relaxing July 13, 2008 A unique and beautiful game that allows you to explore a rather well-sized piece of ocean that includes reefs, deep trenches, caves, and sunken ruins. Playing the part of a professional diver, you will have the opportunity to interact with and identify many real-world creatures.
Though there is no "ultimate goal" in this game, you do have the opportunity to partake in some minigames, such as training a dolphin to do tricks, or taking clients to seek a particular fish. Satisfy your client, and you will be rewarded with a new piece of equipment to customize your diver's appearance.
Though the graphics seem a bit dated for what you would expect from such a visual-intensive game this day-and-age, it is still a breathtaking experience. And if the Enya-esque music isn't your style, you have the option of loading mp3's from an SD Card.
If you're tired of the high speed intensity of the majority of today's games, looking for something to just kickback and relax with, or love the idea of ocean exploration, I highly recommend this game.
Grand daughter loves it July 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Endless Ocean was a birthday gift for my eleven year old grand daughter. My eleven year old grandson said, "Oh Grandma, that is such a lame game." I bought it for Sami anyway and she loves it! Her three year old sister sits beside her and squeals when she sees a sea creature. The seven year old brother complains because he never gets a turn. I guess the moral is, know the recipient. (Sami wants to be a marine biologist, if that doesn't work out I'm sure she will be saving animals somewhere.)
Slow moving, but enjoyable July 11, 2008 I was unsure about this game at first. I got it for my husband for Father's Day as he is a diver. I thought it was a little slow and not very exciting. HOWEVER, my husband loved it and my kids, ages 10, 8 and 7, absolutely love it. They would play it for hours if I let them. They have a blast finding new fish and other sea creatures. I highly recommend this game. It's nice to have a game that's not competitive at all.
