Not Worth your money January 16, 2006 Three Words that explains this game sucks. I have nothing el;se to say.
Bad Baseball Game July 27, 2001 THis Game is basically like evry other but is poorly designed especially when batting they design it in a way where when you are batting it is also impossible to hit the ball. besides that the graphics aren't too good. if you want to buy a baseball game choose something else

Game With Glitches, Buyer Beware! February 27, 2001 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
N64 is becoming a thing of the past. ASB 99 is a good example of why Nintendo needed to produce The"Cube"(besides Sony and Sega coming out with a 128 Bit System). I was real impressed when I first bought the game shortly after its release. ASB 99 has a trading feature. I find that to be a great extra. But the one thing that really impressed me the most was the option to do a fanatsy draft. Stats! I was impressed on the way stats are kept all season. They even show All-Star vote standings through out the 1st half of the season. The graphics are satisfactory. I guess the Dreamcast I own has spoiled it for the N64. But for a 64 Bit system, they are good. I only gave this three stars for a few reasons. First, the controls are a bit sluggish. Ball movement around the field could be a little more quicker. The outfielder controls are a little weak as well. When you push the button to dive, the player has a slight hesitation before moving. Batting is a joke. 40 to 0 is not unusual. Once you have figured out the secret( no code needed), it becomes too easy. But the main reason I gave it 3 stars is because once I finished the All-Star Game, the game froze up. When I turned the N64 off to restart the game, all of the seasons stats to that point were changed. I thought I forgot to save from the previous game, so I started a new season. This time I was sure I saved before the All-Star Game and again the game froze up and screwed up the stats. So I have never completed a season. I have known several people that have had the same problem. So if a half season is all you want, then this is your game. Too bad since they put the best MLB player on the cover( Well, I at least I think so!)
