Pretty good game August 9, 2008 Its no Hearts of Iron II, but its still a pretty good WWII game. Pretty fast paced and the AI is ok. I recommend it more for multiplayer than anything else.
Axis & Allies August 6, 2008 This is my favorite strategy game, if not my favorite game period. I didn't care for it all that much at first but it started to grow on me. Granted there are a lot of things that I would like to see changed. As another reviewer already stated, the AI is extremely weak. It follows a few set rules that after you've played the game for a long time become obvious and then the game isn't much of a challenge anymore, which isn't to say that it's not still fun. I don't like the fact that in WW2 mode the rules are so rigid. Once it's over by the rules that they have set, it is totally over no matter how well you've done. Also, a couple of the axis campaigns don't really make sense. A few other nit picky changes would make the game much better in my opinion, but after playing many, many other games this one stands out as terrific. Act of War, which seemed like it was a follow up to this game was a big step in the wrong direction. It may have better graphics, but it is nowhere near as good as this one.
great game July 10, 2008 i liked this game because of its many types of units and the selection of battles also the gameplay was pretty good with the exception that things get a bit messy when trying to use massive forces all at once but overall good game
Awsome Game July 7, 2008 This game is one of the best real time strategy games out there. If you like Age of Empires or Command and Conquer you will enjoy this game very much. Also if your like me and enjoy the Age of Empires series very much the fourth one will be during the modern ages so it will completely skip the whole WW2 era so it is great to have this game to fill that absence.
Great Multiplayer fun June 15, 2008 This game is a great way to settle scores with siblings without coming to actuall fighting!
settle it in Stalin Grad!
