I'm a big Dan Coates Fan June 30, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book just arrived today and I love it! It is the 4th book I've bought arranged by Dan Coates. I love Dan Coates because he appeals to those in the Alfred level 4 piano range. Which is beyond the boring easy stuff, yet not advanced enough for Concertos. If you like to play and sing at the same time then you will love this book. I also like that these arrangements give something fun for the left hand to do. My favorite pieces to play are Alfred Top Hits level 4 and 5. However, there is not enough out there for the piano student in between easy and advanced. Dan Coates arrangements are perfect for people like me who haven't yet graduated from the highest level of lesson books, but who still can have a whole lot of fun. I have to say though, that my husband who is a professional advanced pianist also plays them because they are piano/vocal pieces. All of Dan Coates books are great selections of songs to play and sing along to. I also recommend Dan Coates, "Best in Movie Sheet Music" and "100 pop hits of the 90's."
