 Subpar Keyboard October 26, 2008
The keyboard is low quality, so the keysets are not worth the convenience of custom labels.

This woulda been better with a differnt kind of numbers painted on it and an easier way to edit the keys. The reason why I say this is that the keys A,Q,W,E,S,D keys are allready fading , i have had this product for only 1 month, and i try to edit this and it is awful. i cannot get it to do what the instructions tell me to do. Awful..but i do perfer this with anyone with a right hand dissablity, on the regular key pad you can acually set the number keys on the right to use for your attacks, if i had a good hand it would be better that way and i wouldnt need this stupid board, they dont update there keypads enough to stay up with the Emotes, like cheer for instance, it is /em cheer_M. not Cheer. they did this 3 weeks ago and still no downloads from zboard to get this fixed oh well i wont buy another one. but i did get this in good timing from Amazon, is why i gave this 3 star, 3 stars for Amazons no shipping 3 days it was here...Now that they have put in the updates, it works pretty good. I will buy WOW and Warhamer on this. i hope they stay up to date with the updates and not wait a month to update the thing.

I like the Conan keyboard. I use it whenever I play and must say it helped me learn the game, because all the information was on the keyboard. A good buy for a newb.

I bought this product as a bundle with the z-board as a pre-release special. I recieved the z-board first and was very pleased (see other review on the z-board by itself). The AOC keyboard came about a week later. The AOC keyset is not bad as itself. The keys are set up pretty much like a standard keyboard so their is very little differance between this and using a regular keyboard. The emote hotkeys are a little bonus but nothing special. The setup of special keys is a real helper on the right side as you can go directly to your Quests, Friends, Inventory, Character stats, Spellbook, and Feats with a quick pinky tap. This is the largest helper on the keyset. The designers knew from playing the game that these keys would be used often as well as the movement keys so they are specially designed and rounded for excessive use. The other bonus is the extra-large AutoRun key located far above the movement keys. The location is good so that you have to engage it using a non-standard movement of your finger such that you do not accidently engage it or disengage it, which is nice. The only drawback I have with this keyset is the left shift key is very small and for my left handed typing makes me hit the additional Voice activation key (which if you do not have voice activation is the "*" key so my capital I looks like *i rather than I, but that is the only major complaint I have with it. Actually I'm typing this review on it right now. As for the price, because of the bundle, it was free for me so I have no complaints. I hear that other z-board keysets are far more complex with multi-key hotkeys built in and is extremely useful for those games but AOC does not have a lot of those in the game itself. If you are looking for something revolutionary for AOC I would suggest skipping this item and staying with your standard keyboard. I give it 3 stars. The typing is smooth, the placement of keys well thought out, it is sturdy and well made. As for special features nothing Hyborian shattering here though. Now for the z-board itself...that is another story.

THIS IS NOT A KEYBOARD!!! All this thing is is a plastic keyboard cover for another keyboard you have to buy separate. So misleading...nowhere in the description does it mention you have to buy the keyboard this thing fits over. They give you a key for a ring you can use in the game but im not sure spending 25 bucks for something im going to have to spend another 30 dollars to use is worth the free ring.
