Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In Destroy All Humans, you're an alien invader who's out to save his brother and kill asmany people as possible. In this wild, silly retro-style shooter, you play Crypto Sporidium 137, an alien looking for his brother who crashed in Roswell. Collect human brain stems for their DNA while you blast away the annoying, inferior creatures that stand in your way!

5 out of 5 stars My son Loves this game!   August 4, 2008
Bought this game for my 17 year old son for his birthday! He loves this. He also got Destroy all Humans 2. He calls it mindless fun! He is a pretty tough critic of video games but plays these often so I would have to say that they are good~!

5 out of 5 stars Invader Zim and THEN some!   January 19, 2008
OMG why didn't they think of this one earlier! The controls aren't what I normally like, stupid camera angle that you have to change all the time with the right stick. Why can't game creators understand the popularity of GTA games and the like, are not only because of the story but the PLAY as well! Auto center would be GREAT in this game! It is my only complaint on that. Other little stuff is that people see you when there is a wall between you. Odd right? So the alert goes high when you're trying to be undiscovered.

Otherwise a GREAT game for adults as well as kids. If you think little boy or girl shouldn't play a teen game, think again. If it is too "adult" for them, it goes over their heads. No reason they can't have some "south park-like" fun here in this stress reliever! Reminded me of the nintendo south park game. But the Invader Zim voice makes it SO loveable. It is what got it past the 4 stars mark!

I found this game to be boring and the graphics were not the best. If you like little green men, go for it.

Ever had one of those days at work you felt like wipin' out everbody? Then this game is your therapy. I luuuuuuuvvvvvv this game! I can blast all these b*stards into pieces and have a good time doing it. This game saves my life at least 7 days a week! It keeps me from blazin' up a Wendy's and gettin 25 wit a L. Highly recommended for those who failed anger management multiple times just like me! Destroy All Humans without a doubt is the perfect medication. Well i gotta go people, I need another fix!

3 out of 5 stars Mars Attacks!   November 1, 2007

Destroy All Humans is a delightfully fun, albeit repetitive game that clearly takes a few pages from the script of "Mars Attacks," complete with a Jack Nicholson impression for the main character's voice.

The goal of this game is to send you romping across 1960's USA, attempting to eliminate the vile infestation of humans from the surface of planet Earth. The humans, you see, contain vital nutrients in their brain stems. Your job is to harvest those brain stems while completing other various objectives. All the while, goofy humour is injected almost everywhere possible.

Gameplay is fairly straightforward, done in open-world style. "Levels" take place in various different arenas, ranging from a country fairground to sprawling urban settings. You mostly run around on foot to extract human grey matter and complete objectives, but you also have the ability to beam into your flying saucer and ray-gun humans and houses en masse. Apart from the main objectives, you can take part in a number of side activities like "Destroy a certain number of buildings within a time limit".

All-in-all this game provides enough amusement to make it worth the rental, but I strongly discourage purchase on the grounds that the novelty wears off fairly quickly. Folks may knock the game for its simplicity, but I don't believe that it ever promised more than what it is. This would be an ideal choice to rent when you need a good 8 or 10 hours of goofiness to fill the doldrums between big game releases.

Pros:
-Nutty, zany, "Mars Attacks" style humour
-Loveable characters
-Solid user interface

Cons:
-Very repetitive
-Very repetitive
