Product Description You will have to go for it in this game, against your friends and/or against your computer. Go for eternal hapiness, great fortune and get as smart as Einstein while beating the competitors in this insane run against time. You start as a living-being with nothing but your brains and, luckily, a few cloths. From here you will have to look for a job to pay for your food and expenses. But you will also need to study if you ever want to get out of that work-to-pay-my-food cycle. Ultimately, you'll need a kickass job to pay for all the things in this simplified life. It's a very simple concept: At the beginning of the game you determine what your goals are, the higher your goals, the longer the game. After that each person has a number of hours a week to spend on Education, Working, Relaxation and Walking from place to place. Be smart, don't try to get a job your education does not allow, it'll only cost time. Are you handy enough to gamble, work or learn your way to the top....first ? The Enhanced multimedia CD-ROM version of this game has CD audio voices for each of the characters, additional animation and actor portraits. It was the first CD-ROM game Sierra ever released.

I only wish they would re-make this game!!! November 20, 2007 While i nevered "owned" this game when i was young, i remember going next door and playing this game for hours. Now that i am 23 college kid, i have found it again and am able to run the DOS ver. in Vista. there is a program called DOSbox this allows you to do this. This game will keep you coming back to it, because there are so many different things that can happen and it is ALWAYS changing, there are just so many different things that can happen within one game. it is true in saying that it is not nearly close to today's gaming standards, but i actually think that this game could be more complex, or rather it keeps u playing. Just because you beat it once going for broke, does not mean you would play again. This game came out when i was 7, so i was young, and now when i play it i catch some of the hidden meaning that characters say, have you ever had a bank teller tell you "thank you for depositing on us"? as a kid i never thought twice and anything in this game, i mean come on, if u forget to buy clothes the one guy have black bars across his package and his nipples. have fun!!!
Hours of Fun for Adults and Kids December 13, 2005 My kids and I just LOVED this game. We are trying to find a copy to purchase. Don't know what happened to our original. This is a sort of electronic board game, where Jones is the main character trying to get through life successfully. It is a lot of fun and has several difficulty levels, so it's good for kids from 5 on up. But it's just as much fun for adults!
Blast From The Past September 15, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was one of my favorite computer games growing up. Jones must learn to live on his own including obtaining jobs from the agency such as a fast food worker, manage his bank account, find living arrangements...etc. This game does not compare to the video games of the present in terms of graphics and "excitment" level but it is a timeless game. The game is fast paced which did help the excitment level. Now I am just in the market for a new clean crisp copy of this game. Hard to find but worth it esp. if you grew up in the Oregon Trail days.
