1 out of 5 stars Was never able to play game.   January 11, 2007
I was never able to play the game. It would not load onto my computer. So it was a waste.

2 out of 5 stars Fun to play once (on a really good computer!)...   August 4, 2006

I played the game a few times, and my first game of Survivor was the best. The challenges were new to me, the interaction with the other players was neat, and the tribal councils were fun.

Even though I only started the game at the merge, the game itself was fun and I felt like I was surviving. The cool part of my first Survivor game experience was that I myself was in it and three of my friends were in it as well. You actually get to create yourself and your friends to be players in the game. The rest of the Survivors I remember being in that game were Kimmi, Sonja, Ramona, and Stacey. At the end of the game, Stacey took me to the final two and guess what? I won the game in a vote of 7-0!!! Yay!

Now, the game is not one to be played more than once. It is quite buggy, and the only thing that kept me wanting to continue playing was the will to win. The problem with the game is that it would crash, or the screen would get all blurry. The camplife in the game is somewhat pointless, because it seems that alliances are virtually nonexistent in the game. Like a few posters noted, someone would tell you that they hated someone and then they would go around and tell you that you're crazy for wanting that same person gone. There is no strategy at all.

Unless you hold immunity, be prepared to go home at any time. On my second game, I was Jeff from Survivor: Outback. I wasn't given ANY indication that anyone wanted to vote me off or even hated me. However, despite that, we were down to the final six and I went home by a vote of 3-1-1-1. To make matters worse, the game simply plays "Game Over" instead of letting you cast a vote for a winner. Just because I was voted off didn't mean that I didn't want to know who would win the season!

It's unfortunate that you have to mold your own strategy to that of the other castaways' "strategies" because they aren't changing their minds about whom they will vote for, no matter what. Also, it seems that there is one player in each game that constantly wins immunity each time. My friend Olivia was in the game and she kept winning and winning immunity. I think she won, like, the first three challenges. Somehow, she actually was voted out of the tribe in a 6-1 vote. It's a rare occasion in the game if someone is voted out in a unanimous vote like that.

Don't waste your money buying this game. Survivor: The Ultimate Edition is much better in terms of strategy, challenges, and just having fun. You'd like that one a lot better than this game. I certainly did.

5 out of 5 stars Must have   December 26, 2005

This game is a must have game! yea ok the graphics stink and somtimes it doesn't make sense but's it's still a great experience to play the game! The challenges are really fun but somtimes it does repeat them. At camp it's really fun because u get to go around and help make fire get food and make alliances. My favorite part is tribal council! ONce i was in the top five and won immunity so i was safe in that tribal council we voted out Rob! Then once i made it to the top four i had an alliance to vote off ethat but they went against me and voted me out! Remember this game is a must have.

1 out of 5 stars Pretty Usless!!!!!   November 26, 2005

For the few moments I played it, it was pretty cool. You do duties for your camp, talk to people, and do challenges. But when I ran it the first time, I had no curser. The time I pressed the right button, it worked a little. It kept freezing. It could just be the computer.

2 out of 5 stars it's fun but um.....   August 6, 2005

you can't do ANYTHING!!!
i tried to make my team do a contest where you push logs to
a finish line and guess what? they acted like a bunch of idiots!!! you just sat there doing nothing!! it's fun to talk to people but be prepared to do stuff yourself but at my camp my people walked around, picked up water and fished!! but that was it
they even refused to help me when i needed a question answered they just would tell me to find the answer to something myself!!!
