I love war And simulation style games. This is a game that is one you will keep coming back to, even if you only have 15 minutes to spare.
TIGER HUNT! in a different box! March 8, 2008 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I can't believe the NERVE of this company! This is basically the game TIGER HUNT, in an only very slightly updated version. TIGER HUNT was simply THE most bug-ridden game I'd ever attempted to play on a PC and it was with a exhilarating sense of release when I finally flung it down the street as far as it would go.
Even some of the menu choices reveal this games roots with TIGER HUNT choices given!
In fact, it seems as though they attempted to market TIGER HUNT under a different name as well but I flushed it from my memory banks.
The GOD mode settings they thoughtfully provide [infinite lives or infinite ammo] don't work and this game has required a PATCH already?
I can't BELIEVE I paid $20+ for this game. I'll give them credit for attempting to patch it, though; they didn't even BOTHER to try that with TIGER HUNT.
If you're considering purchasing this, DON'T! A frustrating waste of energy on every level.
Don't waste your money March 5, 2008 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The 2 reviews above convince me that people with a financial incentive in the product they review come on here to spew their nonsense. I guess it makes sense for them. Lucky for you, the potential consumer, I have nothing to gain, or lose in reviewing this horrible game.
The positive...can be fairly fun the first time you play a level, but with this game, the levels are the same over and over, and over..
The bad...Extremely low end graphics. Enemy AI is absolutely non-existent - enemy tanks, gun positions will be in the same position every time. The biggest flaw is the repetition of the levels. One reviewer said you would never get bored because there are so many levels, but you fight on the exact ground, same starting point, same enemy positions, mission after mission. This was a obviously a low-budget title that probably took about a weekend worth of programming. In today's market, $20 can go a lot farther than this dud.
Look up a game in this genre called PAnzer Elite, from about 6 or 7 years ago. Believe it or not, the graphics and gameplay way outdo this so-called modern release.
Panzer Killer February 17, 2008 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Panzer Killer is so much fun. I have recommended it to all my friends. The thing I like best is that you can drive and shoot at the same time. And with 50 levels, you will never get bored! So rather you like World War II or not, this game is for you.
THE BEST ARCADE STYLE WW2 SIMULATION! February 14, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I recently purchased this game and was worried that I would regret getting it because I do not enjoy nor excel at arcade style games. I was pleasantly surprised that Panzer Killer is very precise with regard to how the tanks, vehicles and other weapons systems look and behave. The game itself is easy to learn and the units are easy to manipulate. The game is composed of missions taking place in historically correct environments. Each mission has a number of objectives that your tank (a Sherman) has to reach. You may pick up fuel, various ammunition types and other rewards as you drive along but watch out for land mines and sneaky enemies waiting in ambush! If the going gets tough you can call in an airstrike! Panzer Killer is realistic, fast-paced fun!
