Amazon.com Product Description Wouldn't it be nice to play games without a cord stretching across your living-room floor, especially if you have little kids or large dogs in your household? Nintendo's Wave Bird isn't the first wireless controller ever brought to market, but it's a whole lot better than what came before. You may remember a brief fad a few years ago with spotty infrared devices. These units failed because they were a lot heavier than standard controllers, and also because they required a direct line of sight between the controller and the infrared receiver. The Wave Bird is much lighter (it weighs a bit more than a regular controller) and uses radio frequency signals for reliable game control at distances of up to 20 feet. Unless your playing on a stadium-size TV screen, that should be more than enough. The unit will last for about 100 hours of use on just two AA batteries and has 16 channel frequencies, so you'll easily be able to hook up four controllers without interference.

THIS CONTROLLER RAWKS OUT LOUD ! I would think so but I don't own one. you could probably plug one end into a cube in japan and play that cube from the U.S. with this controller that is how fancy it is .....der don't know ? gosh
It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!!!!! May 13, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
WOW. This thing rocks. This thing gives you soooo much freedom. When my parents play, they always jerk the controller up when they jump (say in a mario game) and sometimes, the controller socket pops out or worse, the gamecube falls down. WIth this, i can play anyhere. Fine, different controllers have different ranges (this one has 100 feet) If another controller has 200 feet, then think about it this way. Are you really going to play 200 feet away from your Gamecube?? You won't even be able to see the screen. THis COntroller is the best controller ever made. People complain about the batteries and the color. There are actually 2 colors: white and platinum. Platinum looks really good. (i have platinum) The other thing that people complain about is the battery power. It claims to be around 100 hours, but i have no idea how much i play. I bought it in Feb. 2005 and i've only had to replace the batteries once (and i play a LOT). Sure, there's no rumble, but for the freedom that you get, it barely matters. If you have a gamecube, and you don't have a wavebird, then go get one. YOu won't regret it.
Amazing April 5, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVE my Wavebird Wireless Controller. The ONLY 2 complaints i have are the no-rumble feature and the color. I have 2 Wavebirds and i've had em for probably about 2 or 3 years now and just recently the "R" button wore out so i have to go buy a new one. I guess it's from playing so much Tony Hawk and SSX over the years. Anyway, i dont really wanna buy a new one because i KNOW if I do they will turn around and make one that rumbles and that is like red or something. But yea anyway it's a great addition to your gamecube. You will be fighting with your friends for the wireless controller..TRUST ME.
Works with the Nintendo Revolution aswell March 27, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Most of my thoughts have already been expressed in previous customer reviews, and they are all true in my opinion aswell. However, it is also important to note that this will be compatible with the GC ports on the Next-Gen system, The "Revolution". Note that this is a codename: the real name will be revealed at E3 on May 9-12, 2006. The revolution plays gamecube games out-of-the-box with the traditional two-handed controller. It features four gamecube controller port, aswell as two gamecube memory card ports.

this thing is so cool!!!!! January 2, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
ok i got this thing for christmas last year and i wasnt happy with it. i knew it would probably work alot slower than my other controller. ITS NOT! I can go into the house next door, and it will still work! just as fast as the other controller! this thing is soo awesome. the ONLY THING is that this controller doesnt rumble like the regular ones. ITS STILL AWESOME!
