One of the Best Games for the Short Lived Neo Geo Pocket December 15, 2007 The SNK vs Capcom series was way too short lived. Putting together the kings of 2-D fighting, this game will keep you playing for a while.
First of all, there's 26 fighters, half from SNK, the other half from Capcom (this includes 8 unlockables). You can play one on one, tag team (hey, how come this can handle tag team, yet the PS One couldn't, enter the PS One ports of the Marvel vs Capcom series.) or team a la King of Fighters. You can also choose either a Capcom-style level meter, an SNK-style charge meter, or a 'neutral' meter that enhances super attacks if full.
Having owned Capcom vs SNK Pro, I can say this; there are more then 3 endings in this game (in fact, every fighter has their own ending). Then there the Olympic Mode where you win vs points to buy super moves for your fighters. In fact number of games & challenges in this mode will keep you playing long after you unlock the fighters & their moves.
While there's not much else I can say about it, I will say this, if you have a Neo Geo Pocket, there's no excuse not to own this.
Great! November 23, 2007 The game was as fun as I remember. I'm so glad that I was able to find it again. Thanks to the seller who was quick with the shipping.
Get a front row seat to the best fight of the Millenium August 4, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been a fighting game fan ever since I played the 1st Street Fighter years ago and I will have to say purchasing this game was one of the best things I have ever done. You not only get the best of Capcom's fighters, but also SNK's. It is a dream come true. So if you ever wondered if "Terry" (Fatal Fury, SNK) could beat "Ken" (Street Fighter, Capcom), now is you chance to find out.
There are tons of characters to choose from. The levels are detailed and the moves are easy to pull off. They are an exact translation from the arcade. The fighting is intense and follows an awesome story line.
Pros: Loads of characters to choose from. Controls are very accurate. Replay value is high as each character has different stories
Cons: The only one I could find is that the characters themselves are well detailed; however, they may not be as detailed as the Game Boy SP fighting games.
Overall: Definitely worth buying!

This is the only reason i bought a NeoGeo Pocket color. My friend has this and once i played it i fell in love with it. Great Graphics,26 characters, alot of modes...what more can you ask for? this is the best handheld fighting game i have ever played(i prefer this over Street Fighter II on GBA,and i loooooove sfII) This game is great. Excellent Replay Value. This is a gem. Other good games for the NGPC are Snk VS Capcom Card Fighters Capcom and Snk Version, and both metal slugs.
20+ Character brawl in your pocket. December 25, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
In case you were sleeping through the last decade or so SNK and Capcom basically rule the fighting game scene, between the two of them they are responsible for Street Fighter, DarkStalkers, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Final Fight, and more.
The two tyrants of fighting games clash in SNK VS Capcom: Match of the Millenium, the game features 26 characters from the various Capcom and SNK franchises, most people you'd expect are here, Iori, Kyo, Morrigan, Chun-li, Guile, Sakura, Felica, Terry, and much, much, much more.
Among the 20+ characters there are many modes, the "tourney", basically a story mode, you can either fight one on one, two on two, or 3 on 3, which allows you to use your favorite characters at once, and jolts replayability into the game.
The game is very fun, and enjoyable to play, and all the modes and characters will make this a good one to pick up for your NeoGeo Color Pocket.
