Amazon.com Review Nintendo's winning streak of rehashing and enhancing classic Super Nintendo games for the tiny GBA screen continues with this surprisingly addictive arcade racer. For those new to the Mario Kart game series, Nintendo mascots (Mario, Donkey Kong, Luigi, etc.) race go-carts along fantastic tracks that feature various offensive and defensive power-ups (banana peels and mushroom boosts, to name two). Accumulate enough points and you'll win circuit trophies. Each mascot has a ride that handles and accelerates differently, yet the controls for each racer feel very tight and precise. The highly detailed, cartoony locales of Mario Kart Super Circuit show visuals that are both very sharp and fluidly animated. Though not nearly as fast, Mario Kart Super Circuit looks better and can be more intense than the vaunted F-Zero launch title. If you perform well enough and collect enough coins in a tournament, you can unlock a plethora of bonus tracks--some of which are from older console Mario Kart titles. The fun multiplayer options include head-to-head racing and a balloon battle mode, in which you blast other racers with power-ups in a huge arena until there's only one driver left. --Mark Brooks Pros: - Bright graphics that are both fast and fluid
- Multiplayer battle mode is loads of fun
- Many, many tracks!
Cons:
Amazon.com Product Description Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad, and Bowser put the pedal to the go-kart metal in 20 all-new tracks, plus many hidden courses. Each track has its unique challenges, ranging from crabs skittering across Shy Guy Beach to the piranha plants lurking in the quicksand of Yoshi Desert. Grab coins to max out your speed and blast your rivals with the ever-popular arsenal of red, green, and spiked Koopa shells. You'll earn points with every high-place finish, and you'll win trophies with the completion of every four-race cup. Doing well will earn you a high rating and unlock more tracks. You can compete against as many as four friends (Game Boy Advance Game Link cables required). The game features multiple scrolling planes that move in perspective as you zip through high-speed turns.
Product Description Mario Kart: Super Circuit brings the classic high-speed hijinks of Mario and friends roar onto the Game Boy Advance! Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad and Bowser put the pedal to the go-kart metal in 20 all-new tracks, plus additional hidden tracks and classic multiplayer Battle Mode. Good fun! December 16, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
MK:SC is a really good game. I have played the N64 version, and this is way better. The controls are much better, on account of a D-pad instead of a mini-joystick. Also, this has 40, you heard me, 40 tracks! First, it has the game-exclusive tracks. Then, once reaching a certain point, you can race the SNES tracks, which are shorter and have more laps. The only thing lacking about this game is the speedometer, which is only seen in the 'Time Trial' mode. Other than that, this is a great addition to any gamer's library.

It is very fun but a short game. It only took me an hour and a half to beat it when I first got it.The graphics are perfict, it feels like you are playing it on Nintendo 64.
Mario Kart Super Circuit= Best Mario Kart Game Yet! December 15, 2001 Although on the box the graphics seem [lousy], once you put in the cartridge the graphics are crystal clear! It is highly addictive and although it is easy to beat, it is one of the only games you can enjoy once you beat it. Also the multiplayer mode puts this game over the top! I recommend this game to EVERYONE!
Recomended highly--Great fun! December 11, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This, I will say quite honestly, is a GREAT GAME!!! The graphics, in my opinion, are very well done. The selection of non-violent "weapons" is great too. It's highly addictive, but not take-control-over-your-life addictive. Some people say this game is really easy. I don't think it's exactly HARD, but it certainly isn't easy or anything. Though some of the tracks are almost identical, there really is quite a bit of variety. The characters demonstrate this as well--don't just look at the stars when you pick one! I strongly recommend this game for 9 to 15 year olds. Note for constricted budgets: You can get this game along with the Midnight Blue console for the price of just the console!
Mario Kart best racing game EVER December 10, 2001 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok Maybe u think I am over doing this game's "goodness"... But really this game is da bomb! Ok first u can choose different racers with different weight and speed. There is Toad, he is a mushroom headed guy, Peach, Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Wario, and Bowser. Don't look at the pictures on the front screen! The graphics are crystal clear unlike those pictures. Anyways there are many power ups that help you get in the lead. When you beet all the circuts that isn't it!!! Try playing the timed mode and beet the comps number 1 score. It can be really hard. Anyways get this game!!!
