Almost as fun as the real thing--without losing money! February 24, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband adores this game, especially the craps table. Ever since my parents started spending time in Las Vegas, we've seen a lot of casino action. This game gives a realistic casino atmosphere, whether you're playing Black Jack or Slots. The characters you encounter are diverse and entertaining.
The tutorials--that you get by asking the bartender--are helpful if you want to learn a casino game before your trip to Vegas.
Very entertaining!
Better than the competition but... October 25, 2006 I bought this title in order to learn the basics of Craps. The interface is cumbersome, and so I've opted to use a Java-based Craps game available on the web. Google for "java" and "Craps" and you'll find it -- and keep the money in your pocket.
A Fun Addictive Game. May 13, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is just a pure & simple Casino video game. I found myself playing the Poker games Texas Hold Em & 5 card draw mostly. They also have just about every other card game & slot game found in any real Casino from Baccarat to Roulette. They didnt leave anything out.Its not a very big Casino but it does have a ton of different games. If I remember correctly there's about 5 different difficulty settings from novice to pro.And the A.I. is pretty good.I got pretty far in the tournament mode .I rented this game and after about 4 days of leisure play I was up to $42,000. from a starting of $1,000. Im not a pro ,but I guess it does help to watch the Texas no limit on TV all the time.Of course in this game you cant make a face bluff, but you can make huge bets that will cause the game to fold.I just wish that there was a (no limit) Texas hold em in this game. But in tournament mode the anti is alot higher. The other players comments can get a little old after awhile They have a limited amount of things they say.I would just turn the music up & the players voices down, its realy kinda relaxing to play it while your watching TV ,when a commercial comes on I would switch to this game & make a bet, call, check,or fold. All in ALL a fun game thats just a basic Casino video,no frills but alot of addictive fun.And for the cheap price its a good deal.
Sweet game! 100x better than Bicycle 2005 November 15, 2004 24 out of 30 found this review helpful
I just got this game yesterday and I love it! You can create your own character, walk around in a 3D casino, and work on becoming a "High Roller". Basically, the higher your bankroll is, the more stuff you begin to unlock (different casino games, clothing outfits, ect), and the higher priced games you have access to. The tournaments are fun and the AI is good. I admit I am no pro, but I have been getting spanked in a handful of the 7 card stud, 5 card stud, Texas Hold'em, ect poker games.
One thing to take note. The character's personality is associated with what head you choose. Experiment with 20 or so different heads before you go full steam into building your char. You don't want to get stuck with a goofy looking head that ends up being a flaimer...
