LAND OF THE DEAD GAME FOR THE DEAD November 18, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
TYPICAL GROOVE GAME. BORING, JERKY CONTROLS, NO WAY TO TURN OFF OBNOXIOUS MUSIC. CHEAPLY MADE. NOT A BARGAIN AT ANY PRICE.
it wasn't as good as i tought August 28, 2007 this game is an o.k. game if u just want to shoot zomibes over n over again because in all the mission all u do is kill zombies theres really no point in any of them and when you shoot it doesnt always hit the spot where you aimed at, all the levels are almost alike a zombie pops out of nowhere or they come from behind you and such other surprises sooner or later you'll get bored of it but many people say that its a horrible game when its not, just dont play this game for too long because you will feel like you wasted alot of time on something that wasnt even worth it
Good all round fun June 14, 2007 This game provides lots of entertainment especially for fans of zombie movies. The graphics are pretty good as is the soundtrack. The game captures the atmoshpere of the old zombie films well. The zombies ai leaves a little to be desired as does the accuracy of the weapons. Aside from that the game is all round good fun but will not provide much of a challenge to serious gamers.
zombie blastin fun June 11, 2007 Hello, I enjoyed this game it is a pleasant break from the res. evil series, but like alot of movie tie in games this one suffers from a rushed production as well. the head shots were not quite there, and every time more zombies would come out, the game froze for a second letting you know a "surprise " was coming buuut to adventure in romero's world was great fun and the quirks did not out weigh the over all fun.( for me) That being said though I reccomend this game to a hardcore fan of the zombie genre if you want a shooter go elsewhere the glitches will drive you crazy.
Some people need to realize why you buy games.....because they're FUN January 14, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is cheap. Not cheap in the time spent playing it sense or stupid "I got jipped by this cheap game" sense, but it is actually cheap money wise. But you didn't really need me to tell you that.
What I can tell you is that this game is awesome. Sure, it's not Halo 2 or Half-Life, but it doesn't claim to be. It offers some really great elements as far as storyline and realism goes. Now, I know what your thinking, if it was so realistic, it wouldn't have zombies because zombies aren't real. That is beside the point. And anyway, don't you buy games because they are fun, not because they remind you of real life. For example, you have to be precise with your shots, and choose when to use them, because ammo is not a plenty in this game.
What this game lacks in flashy graphics, it makes up for in one key area, an area that is important in the original Romero movies, as well as Land of the Dead. Melee weapons. you have a host of different melee weapons to use, each with its own special uses. Such weapons include a hammer, a baseball bat, a golf club, and a shovel. Also, you can pick up a fire axe. If you just had a bad day at work, and take it from me, i have had them, just sit down with this game, pick up a fire axe, and imagine that the zombie horde is really your boss. It truly helps you calm down, after removing his jaw, arms, and legs with said axe.
but anyway, this game is good for what it presents, and that is good, clean zombie filled mayhem.
