Product Description In this wacky, whimsical game, players must use the Lily Pad Launchers to spring their frogs toward the rotating tree to see who stays and who falls. But watch out for the big POP -- and see how many frogs drop! Whoever has the most frogs left in the tree wins that round. This hilarious game is a hoppin' and poppin' good time for kids. Includes 24 frogs, 4 launchers, base, tree trunk with tree top and 4 tree limbs and instruction sheet. Requires 3 "AA" batteries, not included.
Amazon.com Product Description Do you have what it takes to survive the frog flippin' frenzy? In the Flippin' Frogs Game it's a flight for survival to launch and land as many of your frogs into the spinning tree as possible. But they better cling tight because there are crocodiles and piranhas circling the waters below, and when time runs out, the tree branches pop up.

Durability: (what this means)
The Good: Fun, fast-paced, flippin' frogs action
The Bad: May require parental assembly
In a Nutshell: Interactive game for the whole family | At a Glance Ages: 5 and older Requires: 3 AA batteries (not included) | | | Recommended for children ages 5 and up, this fun game for the whole family is designed for up to four players. Simple Rules, Fun Plastic Shapes The object of the game is simple: Be the player with the most frogs in the tree at the end of a round. Win three rounds, and you win the game. However, it's not as easy as it looks. The flexible, rubbery plastic frogs are shaped to hang easily from the tree branches, but when the branches pop up, these little amphibian friends tend to go flying. The brown tree trunk and blue game base are made with a sturdy, durable plastic. The green branches are made lighter for extra spring when the frogs land -- and when time is up. The lily pad-shaped catapults work really well -- so well, in fact, they'll fly too if you don't hold them down with a finger. Sound Effects Complete The Mood As we tested the Flippin' Frogs Game, the sounds of chirping frogs and babbling water happily transported us back to a boggy marsh. The game takes a little bit of assembly, and while it's easy to tell what goes where, it's tough to attach the tree trunk into the game base. An adult might have to help snap the two pieces together. If everything's set up right, the tree will start turning when the game is "on." Once set up, the game is a blast to play -- even alone, since practice makes perfect. When the time is almost up, a bell rings, alerting you to hurry up and get one last shot in. A piece of advice: Aim for tree top; it's the safest place. With electronic sounds and motion, this game requires three AA batteries (not included). What's in the Box Game includes 24 frogs, 4 launchers, 1 base, 1 tree trunk, 4 branches, 1 tree top, and 1 instructional sheet.

The tree doesn't work anymore. August 14, 2008 I bought this game for my 4 yr old son. The tree was a little hard to put together, but once you got it together and started playing, it was fun. The tree spins and pops up when it's done. Well, our tree doesn't spin or pop anymore. We've only had the game a few months. It's not very durable for a 4 yr old to handle. My son still likes to flip the frogs onto the tree, but there really isn't any sport to the game now that it doesn't move at all. I would not recommend buying this game.
Short-Lived Fun April 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After seeing the commercials, our 4-year old didn't stop asking for this for his birthday. Before buying it, we asked other parents their opinions, and knew in advance that we'd have to figure out how to store it, since it wouldn't fit back in the box once assembled. We also knew it was a game we'd want to play with him.
After I assembled this game, our son (okay, all of us) had great fun with it for all of fifteen minutes, even though he had no success landing frogs in the tree (I didn't have much luck myself). But before the tenth time around, the sound effects quit, the tree continued to spin even after "popping up," and the smell of burnt plastic became noticeable. Mind you, the loss of sound effects bothered my son more than the rest. Folks seem to be rating the game as durable, so ours must be defective. I still can't recommend it.
I am also disappointed by Mattel's lack of internet service options, and limited calling hours.
Frogs Everywhere!! pretty neat idea..BUT!!! February 2, 2008 Well I bought one locally.. it didn't work.. I got this one, it worked, it takes a lot of help from adults.. not just a here you go toy... he played it twice... pretty fragile and pops out of position easily..
Good for the first few runs January 20, 2008 The video promo they had for this made it more enticing to get one, and the kids were especially excited to play it. Getting the frogs to land is actually quite difficult, and trying to get your own frogs (that hadn't yet made it onto the tree) back to re-launch them before the time's up is somewhat distracting. The kids were excited to try it for a couple of minutes before deciding to move on to something else, which isn't a bad idea since you could probably get two better, more fun games for the price of one of these.
FLIPPIN FROGS January 14, 2008 THIS IS A VERY ENTERTAINING GAME AND IT MADE EVERYONE LAUGH AND WE ALL HAD A BALL FROM MY SON TO MYSELF TO GRANDPA. THIS IS DEFINATELY SOMETHING YOU SHOULD PURCHASE.
