4 out of 5 stars Just Plain Fun   July 10, 2008

Luxor for the Wii is fun. End of review.

Well....okay, maybe a few more thoughts. I did own Luxor 1 & 2 for my Mac before I got this for the Wii, in fact, owning it for my computer is most likely the reason I bought it for my Wii. Computer games are cool enough but I just can't get into playing games with my keyboard or mouse so the Wii version was much better as far as controlling game play goes. The game itself is much the same, shoot balls at other balls to make three in a row or more of them disappear. Good stuff.

The only small fault I could find was that the graphics seemed a little small on the screen although, due to the wireless nature of the Wii controls, I was playing it from across the room on my couch instead of 12 inches away like on the Mac version.

All in all, Luxor is lots of fun and through the "find new and used from $$" button on amazon, is easily purchased and shipped for less than $20.

3 out of 5 stars Luxor Wii   July 6, 2008
Luxor for the Wii is an alright game. I'm having a hard time getting super-enthused to play it, but at the same time I don't hate it. If you've played Zuma on the PC before, then you basically know what you're getting. That's why for the price ($39, but on sale for $29), I'm not really sure it's worth the money.

The gameplay is smooth and it's easy to control the shooter. The endless mode is fairly good too, and it should keep you entertained for awhile.

One big drawback, though, is that it's strictly a one-player game. I'm not sure how you would incorporate a second player, but it definitely would have been a worthwhile addition to the game.

Overall, Luxor is a one-trick pony, but it's decently done. There's not much depth to the game, especially given the lack of a second player. If you love Zuma, I'd say pick it up for the full price. Otherwise, I'd wait until it's down to about 19.99, which would be a fair price for Luxor.

3 out of 5 stars Too easy for those who have played Luxor on the PC   June 5, 2008

This version of Luxor is essentially the same as the computer version. Having played and loved the computer version, I decided to buy Luxor for the Wii. I had read that it was the same as the PC, but I purchased it anyway.

I had fun while playing this game, but the fun was short lived. I finished this game after just a week. I remember the PC version being very challenging and it taking me several weeks to finish. I must not have lost my Luxor skills because the Wii version seemed very easy.

I highly recommend this game for anyone who has not played the PC version. It is challenging for new players. This game requires fast reflexes and concentration. Therefore, it's a great game to play when you want to get relax and forget the worries of the day.

The developers did a good job with porting this game to the Wii. I did not encounter any bugs and the controls worked flawlessly.

5 out of 5 stars Fun for the whole family   April 4, 2008

"Totally addictive" - true. I haven't finished this game 2 times like I have on DS, but it is still a lot of fun. My whole house hold loves to get on and try to beat each others high scores. I'm glad that Luxor has finally branched out off the PC and came to a console that I can play without sitting at my computer.
