Bleach = Solid Game, a list of pros and cons August 27, 2008 Pros: * Anime style cell shading really matches the show * Show's cast do great job with voice work * Pretty extensive list of unlockables * Large character roster: 32 in total * Controls respond well * Bankai moves are a nice touch
Cons: * No online * It'd be nice if everyone had there own episode mode * Episode mode is to similar to arcade mode, only with a few cut scenes thrown in * Weak lead hollow villain for the main story * Environments have no effect on game play; non interactive
Overall: At the time of this review, Bleach: Shattered Blade can be bought for around $20.00. For a fan, this is truly a must buy. For 'Fighter' fans, I'd have no reservations about purchasing this either. Even though it has it cons, overall its still a really solid game with tons of time waiting to be soaked up by this game. (B+)
Fun !! August 5, 2008 this game is fun, even though i do like Bleach, I think this game would be fun for anyone. knowing the manga/anime helps alot, I love this game especially beating all of my freinds. I love how it shows Bankai, but I really think they should give you more space to fight, because when you do flash steps its like you cant go anywhere but in a small area.
Great for a fan December 16, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
(I am not actually Susan, I am here son using her acount.)
I bought Mortal Kombat shortly after it came out thinking that it would be a fun game for when my friends came over. I like having lots of character chooses but I quickly grew tired of it. I traded MK with a friend for bleach. I am a fan of the show I think the game is great. The character's moves are true to the show and the game is made better by playing with the wii remote and numcuck. I have enjoyed unlocking the characters while playing alone and my friends and I have had a great time playing the vs mode. It does take a bit of time to load battles but it is not too bad. The single player is not the main feature and if you are looking for a game to play by yourself I would recommend getting Zelda, Prince of Persia, or Metroid prime. I highly recommend this game for fans of the show and manga or if you are just looking for a good fighting game. : )
Not too good-very easy. November 23, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I rented this game for two days. I returned it after one. Why you ask, because within an hour I had mastered it and finished it three times. The game has decent graphics but it is simple to just shake the remote and win. It doesn't take any skill. For a game based on fighting to be sucessful for the Wii it better have the basics down. Either a slanted learning curve with lots of unlockable characters, or a street fighter/mortal kombat/soul calibur/heck any good fighting game type system. This game fails. I am such a big fan of the anime and I am even a member of a website devoted only to this show. This game is a dissapointment. I give it three stars because I was lucky enough not to buy it. Wait until it's under $20.00 if you must own it as part of a collection.
good but not yet there November 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm not a fan of the series, hardly know it, but I wanted a good fighting game that exploited the wiimote a little more than what MK:A did, the controls are good an solid althoug a little simple and limited, the game itself is good, nice graphics with very good resemblance to their anime counterparts, nice animation, backgrounds are a little on the dull side but they do the job, the bankai animations are very good looking, but they tend to get a little on the way of the action. Averall is a good fighting game with plenty of options and fun to play specially vs mode with some friend, definitely recomend it, specially for fans of the manga or anime
