Good for some September 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If your looking for top notch game this is not it, I only enjoyed this for the London scenery. Driving controls are hard to master. Also when you got to pick up a fare on the street, you actually run them over! It would be nicer to hit z and pick them up.
Pass! September 14, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a crappy game! I would return it but I opened it! Big-time pass! It was cheap, though! I'll give it that! Thank goodness it was cheap!
Seems Like Something From Sega Before February 27, 2008 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
When it comes down to the video game systems on the market, the Nintendo Wii has definitely redefined time and time again on how we now play video games from top to bottom. While there have been some games that have been definitive for the system like the dynamic and gripping Super Mario Galaxy, or the epic tales of Hyrule that was shown with Link in The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, all the way to the simplicity of bowling a ball down the lane with Wii Sports. But, with every good video game system, there are a few games that just don't actually shine at all, and one from that bold that just seems to steal something Sega showed well years ago from the Dreamcast, and the Nintendo Gamecube too. this time, the game takes aim at London.
London Taxi: Rush Hour from Bold Games for the Nintendo Wii, feels as if it is more like a knockoff of Sega's classic Crazy Taxi. The gameplay is very simple, you have to drive eager and hopeful passengers throughout the city of London, inorder to reach their destinations like Picadelli Circus and Buckingham Palace. The graphics look great by recreating each and every aspect of London, but the control of the game lacks in the fun. Aside from it being a single player game, the control sticks at times, as you use your Wii Remote to turn your car like a steering wheel, it doesn't respond as well to the gameplay. The gameplay also doesn't add as many minigames to test your feats at racing either, by lacking online play and challenging against other gamers.
All in all, London Taxi: Rush Hour, doesn't really show as being a must have for those who own the Wii, but for those who haven't yet played Sega's Crazy Taxi, than this would be a better game as a rental for the Nintendo Wii. I think instead, you're better off awaiting epic titles like Super Smash Brothers Brawl which is coming soon.
