2 out of 5 stars So Disappointing Compared to the Original   July 23, 2008

The original was simple, fun, and easy. But on 2009, on beginner lever I got crushed. In the original, all of the players ran in slow motion and you could watch the baserunner run the bags. Speed was an important factor, but in this game, you never see the runner go. after he hits the ball, he is there already. What happened to simple and fun? I turned around and sold this game and will try to find the original version.

5 out of 5 stars Great Game   July 18, 2008
I bought this game for my 12 year old son, who is very into sports. He loves it.. He loves that the characters are little kids playing in little league fields. Game played well no problems. Age approriate for most. Easy to learn to play.

1 out of 5 stars Too Many Bugs!   June 28, 2008
I bought this game for my nine year old's PS2. He enjoys the gameplay but the game has many bugs. The ball sometimes rolls to parts of the field unaccessible to the players and the only thing you can do is exit out of the game. On other occasions players seem to be perfectly positioned to catch a ball and the game credits the hitter with a single. This one happens two or three times over the course of a 6 inning game. The worst problem though is the game gets hung up during games about 25% of the time. The only way out of this one is to turn off the console. The frustration factor for anyone least of all a nine year old is high. Thus far the software company has not been helpful. It's a shame because when the game works it can be lots of fun.

This Backyard Baseball game lets u trade players and the graphics are great too. They even brought back Sunny Day who is the original commentator for all the backyard games. Overall the game is a lot of fun
