Cool Game August 14, 2008 I was impressed with the amount of songs on this game. You can also buy more Aerosmith songs from the vault in addition to the songs that are part of the game. Overall a great game and very fun to play!
It's a blast August 13, 2008 We use the game about 3 - 4 times a week. I am 48 yrs old, it is not just for kids. Someone needs to now make a country rock......
Needs a Better Band July 30, 2008 The idea of a Guitar Hero game centered around a particular band isn't a bad one, but then you need a band with a deeper playbook than Aerosmith to keep things interesting.
That's the big problem with this edition of the Guitar Hero franchise: there's just not that much good music here. There are maybe three good Aerosmith tunes, an old Kinks song, and then what do you have? Ted "Raw Meat" Nugent -- yuck!
There is some slight amusement value in seeing an animated Steve Tyler looking like Mother in Psycho, or listening to the band reminisce about the highlights of their rehab-riddled career, like Spinal Tap 40 years on.
Really, it's time to try this with a band that would keep you rocking track after track, like the Beatles or the Stones or Tom Petty or -- well, someone good, yaknow?
This game rocks!!!!!!!! July 26, 2008 This is my first guitar hero game. The graphics aren't the best but the songs are challenging and really fun. I have the wireless guitar and trust me it's the one to get. I would get this game cause it's a FUN game.
Ok if you love Aerosmith July 25, 2008 I purchased the game for my father-in-law and played it before I gave it to him (yes I am a horrible person.) I finished the game in about 2 hours and really felt bad about the experience.
There are only a handful of Aerosmith songs on the game. From the huge catalog they have they also chose some odd ones, and left out most of teh port reunion songs that truly rock.
I remember one early preview of the game whare the GH folks said one of the innovations to this game was that there was now five people on stage, and I completly agree that that is the only innovation of this game. Wait until the price drops to about twenty dollars and you would be a ok buying the game for the number of songs on it.
The band interviews are interesting, however they are way to short and on the PS2 look crappy.
