3 out of 5 stars Awsome If you get a working one   December 13, 2007

This keyboard/controller combo works awsome if you can get one that actually works right. I have used these for years but have probably returned about 10 of them. They come defective, keys often type backwards and the controller buttons come stuck.

3 out of 5 stars Great performance, poor quality   October 12, 2007
This Keyboard/Controller can't be beat when it come to ease of use and comfort. However this is my fourth one I have had to buy in three years due to the same flaw every time. The left Directional control keeps giving out in the X axis and makes the system believe you are always holding down, Until the plastic parts inside along the X axis break and you are no longer able to move fowards or backwards only left and right rendering the unit unusable. I am buying a fourth today since mine just gave out and I play FFXI, and I will proablly buy another in a year or so because there is nothing else out there like this and it's a nessecity if your playing a game that requires a combonation keyboard and controller. Hope this helps.

4 out of 5 stars A must for online players!   June 13, 2007
My brother plays FFXI on th PS2 and almost REQUIRED this item (because it is such a great item!) and recently purchased one. I told him about all the bad reviews and how buttons are stuck ... but he bought it anyway. It was just as reviewed. Circle button stuck, mode button shuts off. But after you get past that the good points begin to stick out.

First off, the "broken" button works fine (as long as you aren't obsessive compulsive about the button clicking or pressing 'in'... a light tap works fine) and the mode button shutting off has something to do with the rumble function... but with such a big controller we didn't even want the rumble. After turning off the rumble or vibration function the mode button worked fine. I played .Hack//G.U. for half an hour with this controller to test it out and it works fine with these small tweeks. The keyboard (as previously reviewed) works wonderful and is the best part of this controller.

So considering this is a rare and no longer purchasable item, I would highly recommend it. The only people who won't enjoy this controller are those who are obsessive about the buttons and vibration function not working properly.

2 out of 5 stars They're nice. . . while they're functional. . .   May 31, 2007

I am an avid player of Final Fantasy XI, and this keyboard/controller is a very convenient tool. The keyboard works quite well, the controller part on the other hand. . .
I have had to replace three of these for the same reason; the analog sticks shut themselves off somehow, then you have to go and unplug and replug the controller cord in to fix the problem. This can be very bad when auto-running in Valkurm Dunes or any other dangerous area. >.>; That, and sometimes the analog sticks make you turn around and walk backward for no apparent reason, and it's hard to stop. I don't know how this happens to every one of my controllers, I am very gentle with them! >.< I like these while the controller is working properly, but I do not like being forced to replace them every 6-8 months for the same irritating problems. . .

4 out of 5 stars careful   May 25, 2007
we like the product however you might want to be careful where you get it from. ours was damaged when we received it. however, we were able to fix the problem.
