Greatest Video Game Ever! June 15, 2008 It was explained enough in previous reviews. I just wanna add that it is actually teh greatest video game ever made! If youre a true fan of the Simpsons or video games its a must have!

This game was rather fun, but was simple to gather money to purchase things. All you had to do was hunt down the Wasp Cameras and smash boxes. With the right code you could smash and blow up cars but then you trigger a Hit and Run which the music is annoying, sounds like a 70's cop chase. The levels had their difficulty but in the end, if you beat it, it has a pretty funny ending. It was more of a search and find items type of game, you go around collecting cards and unlocking vehicles and when you beat it, it isnt worth playing again. The downside to it, is when you collect each card you unlock a mini game which is what it says... you choose your character and your vehicle and drive around a tiny track in a tiny car, the steering sucks and really was pointless to add it in the first place.
Very fun but can get frustrating January 30, 2008 This game is a blast. It is pretty straightforward but some of the tasks took me multiple tries and multiple days to get. Even my husband took turns when I got too frustrated and then he got frustrated and so we both stopped for a while. But it is a fun game. There are little secrets all over the place and the different cars are fun to drive. Its a good game for any age because the controls and game design are straightforward, like I said. I have yet to finish the game (because I'm stuck) but I am a good ways thru and have enjoyed it immensly so far.
Do not waste your money and time on this trash! December 21, 2007 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this game recently, because I love the Simpsons and love the other games featuring the residents of Springfield. I must say that I have never played Grand theft Auto to which many people compare this game, but I believe you do not have to be familiar with GTA to honestly rate this game as one of PS2s worst games ever!
Levels one through three are actually really fun, because you get to experience Springfield in 3D and you get to interact minimally with other Springfield residents and environments. The treasure hunt of finding wasp cameras, collectable cards, Buzz cola cases and machines, and coins was fun for the first hour or two, but this is the majority of the game and becomes terribly redundant and boring! The missions put the player at a great disadvantage and you have to be more than perfect in some cases to be successful and to advance the plot WITHOUT utilizing the skip feature that many others obviously clung to and who rated this game highly!
After Level three this game repeats itself to a ridiculous degree! The missions are exactly the same, but you might control a different character and complete tasks with both less time and with impossible perfection (I must have attempted the same thing 40 times or even more on some of the pointless missions!). Almost all of the missions have nothing to do with any of the storyline and only frustrate the player beyond the scope of what a game should expect from a player.
The game also becomes very annoying on top of it all as the characters say the same things over and over and over! I think that each character has about five phrases total and believe me... you will have them all memorized very quickly. If you find one of the main characters automatically annoying in the series as I do... they will be even worse and make you want to bang your head against the wall until your headache disappears!
I actually wasted my time and almost finished this game, but after attempting the final mission about 50+ times... I gave up! I saw no possible way for the average player to beat this yet alone enjoy themselves in attempting to do so. I have lost all motivation and desire to complete this game and because of my terrible experience... I am leery to try the new title which was just released this year. If you like the Simpsons and enjoy driving games... steer clear from this garbage as your money would be better spent on Road Rage or the Hot Wheels series.
Great Game! December 7, 2007 Much like the GTA series, except no cursing and less violence but more comedy. A definate must play game for any Simpsons fan.
