Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Final Fantasy Tactics: Lion War brings the famed strategy-RPG series to the PSP. FF Tactics: Lion War is a part of Square Enix's "Ivalice Alliance" campaign, a series of games taking place in the world of Ivalice, home to Final Fantasy Tactics as well as Final Fantasy XII. Accordingly, this PSP port of the original PlayStation One Final Fantasy Tactics features a few new bells and whistles firmly placing the game within the fictional world of Ivalice. Sky pirate Balthier, from Final Fantasy XII, makes an appearance, plus the "job system" of FF Tactics has been enhanced with new jobs from other Final Fantasy games. All-new cel-shaded full motion videos have been added to advance the game's story, but gameplay remains largely the same. This isn't a negative; Final Fantasy Tactics is now considered a classic of the strategy-RPG genre, and with Lion War's enhanced features and graphics, it's destined to become one for the PSP, too.
