Product Description
Need for Speed : Pro Street is a racing experience like no other. For the first time, you're designing and building a car, competing in iconic locations from around the globe and battling in four distinct racing styles- grip, drag, drift and the all-new speed challenge. The atmosphere is electric - complete with energetic crowds, photo-realistic vehicles and billowing smoke - all designed to embody the pressure and intensity of the gladiatorial challenge known as Show Down. Need for Speed ProStreet is the realization of the power, aggression and rivalry that embodies street racing culture.

5 out of 5 stars Need for Speed: Prostreet   January 6, 2009
The XBOX demo didn't do this game justice. I have enjoyed all the NFS games, "Most Wanted" being my favorite, but "Prostreet" still carries the flavor of NSF, but with a definite variation. I am enjoying this game a lot more than I thought I would.

4 out of 5 stars Atleast it was cheap   December 4, 2008
I think I have to agree with a few of the other reviewers already on here with out a free roam option it just isn't as fun. But being able custimize a bunch of new cars is kinda fun for a while. All in all I'm glad i waited for a while before buying this since it's definitely not worth more then the $20 I paid, maybe not even that much.

2 out of 5 stars Just plain lame.   December 1, 2008
NFS: Underground 2 was a pretty fun game. Yes, the riceboi take on it was weak, but all in all it was some good, goofy fun. NFS: Carbon which followed was something of a disappointment, though not exactly bad. But Pro Street was crap.

The storyline was weak to the point of being nonexistent, the racing was awkward much of the time, the selection of cars was shamefully small, and the rules for what cars could participate in what events was, frankly, nonsensical.

If you want a proper racing game for the 360, get Forza Motorsport 2. It lacks a storyline (which is actually less of an insult than Pro Street's vestigial story), but has dozens of tracks, hundreds of cars, and just takes itself a lot more seriously.

3 out of 5 stars Just what I expected after reading other reviews   April 3, 2008

This is my least favorite of the modern NFS series. From what I understand, the next game out in the series will be going back to their origional roots bringing it back to city driving. The graphics are good and the new machine will help in the future games.

4 out of 5 stars Ripped off the street...   April 1, 2008

Free roam, gone.
First choice for car, gone.
Fine tuning most aspects of the engine, yeah it's gone. Replaced with a few sliders. You don't even get to choose your own name. This game has been stripped of so many of the things that made NFS great. I really hope that this game gets better further in. cus the plot seems pretty stupid so far. (Ooh, he said he doesn't DIG my racing skill...GAY!) Didn't people try to hill you in the underground series?
