Good deal to remember the good times January 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Is a very good option to play the original ATARI games, in a portable console. To be honest, i continously grab my daoughter console and play with these ATARI Games.
Sends me back in time April 19, 2006 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
As a person who was raised on these games, I think this package is great. It really takes me back. Of course, I love the amazing graphics and play in newer NDS games, but really, what beats a game of Pong or Breakout?
I'm giving it an "overall" score of 4 instead of 5 only because it isn't quite the same as using one of those old joysticks.
So dissapointing! January 23, 2006 9 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is the worst of all the "retro " comps out there by far. The games are not faithful translations to say the least. Tempest is totally unplayable without the use of the touch pad. And the touch pad is very difficult to use. Warlords is OK, but once you beat the first screen it says GAME OVER, and stops! What?! thats it, no progressive levels? I actually like all the "remix" modes of the games, I think they are all done pretty good, are creative and do give the old timers a fresh feel. However, they really went too far to force these games to take advantage of the DS strengths to a point where they ruined almost all of the games. I really wish that I would have read these reviews before I had bought this game, but I JUST ASSUMED that these games would be straight ports of these classics with the OPTION of something new thrown in if you were in thew mood. This is clearly not the case.
Old old games. December 30, 2005 3 out of 27 found this review helpful
