Product Description
Follow 2 heroes, Grey and Ash, in separate but intertwining adventures as they become immersed in a long, tumultuous war between humans and robots.
In Mega Man ZX Advent, the main characters discover the power of the mysterious "Biometal model A," which on its own has several attacks, but also has a special Megamerge ability which allows the character to transform into one of eight "Pseudoroid" bosses that each have a unique set of abilities. Once a boss is defeated, players can emulate their powers to find hidden routes, discover rare items and aid their battles against more powerful enemies. The title takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS features to enhance the action-packed gameplay and story line of the popular series. With a touch of the Nintendo DS screen, players can easily switch back and forth between the Biometal and Map navigation screens. Bosses can be fought in several different ways, testing players' skills and rewarding them with nearly 24 different items depending on how they take on a boss. Further gameplay options are available as players explore and open up new areas of the map. Condition Bonus - strategically beat bosses to obtain valuable rare items Touch screen allows players to instantly change forms and switch between subscreens Co-op and head-to-head two player wireless play (two cartridges required) Two-player downloadable mini-game (one cartridge required) Five unlockable mini-games in total

5 out of 5 stars Best Action game ever, yes it is   May 29, 2008
This is possibly the best action game currently on ds next to ninja gaiden dragon sword. I've been a megaman fan for 6 years when i was 9 And i have to say this is the best action game. many forms for you to get including upgraded sprites of the former models. voice acting for every cutscene and enough action to last you a month. even includes easy mode for those who are new to the series, and normal for those who are accustomed to the series. This game features a new model A which can copy enemies like Axl from mega man X7and X8. Through it you copy forms such as the models from ZX and the boss which will help you progress through the game. This game has a great story line. Those who are new to the series should try this title before the first one. This game is for kids young to old, as well as for adults and megaman fans.Mega Man ZX: Advent

3 out of 5 stars Not for the Faint of Heart   May 16, 2008

This game is more directed towards those gamers who have played Mega Man Zero 1-4 and the original Mega Man ZX. This game is difficult from the get-go, and it gets harder from there. Even then, it's actually EASIER than the aformentioned games.

Normal mode isn't as hard as it's cracked up to be, but it is difficult. Here's the clincher; this game was meant and directed towards HARDCORE gamers; I truly do not recommend this game to anyone under the age of 15. This game is "nintendo hard."

I myself loved this game due to it's balance of difficulty and the many different aspects of gameplay, but I give it a 3 rating because of the fact that not ALL gamers are HARDCORE gamers. I could have been biased and put a 5 because I myself loved it to death, but I gave it a 3 because it's not geared to the majority of gamers out there.

5 out of 5 stars A 13-year-old's review from Washington State   April 26, 2008
I got this game with my birthday money and it's a good game. I had never played the first Megaman ZX game and I'm glad I chose ZX Advent because if I had started with megaman ZX I probably wouldn't have chosen this game. It took me around 3 hours to beat this game not, counting the time it took when I had to restart due to losing lives. However, on my beginner mode, my gametime says around a few hours and I still haven't completed all the quests.

Megaman ZX Advent has 3 modes, Beginner, Normal, and Expert. Beginner is for those who are playing ZX games for the first time. Normal is for those are used to it and even after I beat beginner mode a few times normal mode is still sometimes a pain even after beating it. While Expert Mode lives up to it's name. You only get 1 subtank throughout the game, and you don't get any health upgrades. Advent also has over 10 bosses you can play as using "A-Trans" to morph into them after you defeat them in battle, and it has one secret character you can play as. It also gives you five minigames. The first one, Gem Buster, is for ad-hoc people only. The second one, Survival mode, has you play against ALL the bosses with your health and BM gauge set to default and only two subtanks. The third one, Boss Mode, lets you play against your favorite bosses to see how quickly and effectively you can destroy them. It also had Quiz Advent where you try to successfully answer 20 question based off of the bosses you fight. It's divided into three parts: gap, silhouette, and zoom quiz. Finally, the final unlockable minigame is megaman, a game where you get to play as the original megaman and it's actually pretty fun. Advent also has voice acting, not the best but something new from all those other action games. It's hard to rate this game' difficulty due to being in the gray area of being to difficult and being just difficult enough. All in all it's a great game that,if you're new to the Megaman series, it's a game you should definitely try out.

4 out of 5 stars Great game for ZX fans   February 28, 2008
Although the game plays like the one before, it's a bit easier to use since now you can switch powers by toouch-screen and the map has been vastly improved. Very fun game to play witha great story.

2 out of 5 stars Not for the casual gamer   February 7, 2008
I gave this game a 2 star because of the difficulty of the game. I am not what you would call a really casual gamer, I would be closer to the hardcore, but this game has me baffled. I cannot defeat the first psuedoroid on normal difficulty and the beginner mode seemed far to simple for the first boss you come across but then difficulty jumps up significantly from there. I am honestly very frustrated with this game. Everything about the game just screams 'AWESOME' and the voice overs and soundtrack are great for a handheld game. Running through the first levels was so much fun I am just upset that I cant get to the next levels. Maybe I will have to find a cheat code so I cant die :(

From what I have read the Mega Man series has been going on for a long while with out me and this difficulty level is normal for it. I bought this with old memories of my giant gray gameboy and the Mega Man game I had for it. I loved that this was a platformer just like the old one but i dont remember ever having this much difficulty with the old game, or any game for that matter.

If you are not familiar with the Mega Man series and its difficulty then I would seriously suggest staying away from this game so you dont feel like throughing your DS through a wall.
