Great Game! October 8, 2008 I have always been a fan of the live show and thought it would be fun to get the game. I was pleased with how fun the game is! Some of my favorite games from the show were on the video game, so I was excited to play them-Some games that I love are not on the video game, but I do not care- still having a blast playing it! Highly recommend this game- even if you are not a fan of the show!
No Drew Carey???? October 7, 2008 hmmph...i was extremely miffed that drew carey was not in this because i love him in the price is right now and he is in my opinon better than bob barker...but anyways onto the game. i bought it on a whim and my sister and i love playing it , its def a party game but you can play it by ur sad,anti-social self as well haha. it has the games on the show and its pretty accurate just not as fun because one u dont actually win the money and no running down the aisles...haha. go rent it if u like the show or buy it, its pretty fun.
OK BUT COULD BE BETTER October 6, 2008 this game is ok but i was disappointed that it doesnt use your existing mii"s to play the game. i think they could have worked a bit harder thought not bad for the price.
This game should be neutered. October 4, 2008 The game is kind of fun the first time you play it, but after that it will soon gather dust on the shelf. After playing the game with friends and family, I went around with the question, "Hey, You want to play Price is Right again", no takers.
The concept of the TV game show is probably something that can never be produced as a good video game. In the TV show, if you guess the best price you get to come up on stage and play a pricing game. With this video game, no matter how badly you guess the price you still get to play a pricing game, and do a "spin off" for the big showcase. And even if you suck at the "spin off", you still get to do a final spin to get to the showcase. So basicly, no matter how bad you play, you will probably end up in the showcase, which kind of makes the whole game pointless.
The pricing is difficult if not impossible to guess, for example, I had to guess the price on a bag of oreo's, ok, a couple of bucks, no it's .49 cents, it's the small bite size oreo's, they don't tell you the size of the product. On one showcase I had a 08 Ford Mustang convertable, a Honda dirt bike, and a trip to Mexico. Hmmm, I'd say around $30K, wouldn't you, no, $17K. I guess the game is buying its cars and trips at Walmart.
The pricing games are pretty fun, but usually by the time you figure out how the controller and game works, your already out of time. And of course, with the bad replay value, your probably never going to go back and try it agian.
The graphics are pretty good for the wii, and the cut videos, although a little small, are done well. Too bad the video just stops, like you hit the pause button, when the video is over and sends you back to the game. That looks really cheap, and makes you realize that your playing a crappy game.
Graphics *** (Excellent for the wii, the video problems bring it down a bit)
Game Play ** (The pricing games are fun, but not easy to learn while the timer is ticking, The Price is Right game show concept is totally lost)
Replay Value * (I don't think I'll find anyone to play this game again)
Overall **
The Price is Wrong September 30, 2008 I was really disappointed in this game due to the fact that if you are playing against multiplayers then the highest bidder doesn't get to go to the showcase. You both do. It didn't matter if you won or lost. The graphics were good. But definately not worth the 40 bucks.
