Product Description
Pelican's Bongo Drums for Donkey Konga lets more players join in on the fun. Pelican's Bongos Drums are 10% larger then Nintendo DK Bongos, providing a more active play on the drum surface.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Trust me, do not get these things.   December 4, 2007
My brother got these for Christmas a couple of years ago so we could have two-player Donkey Konga games. The Pelican Bongos broke of the first day. I'm completely serious. The next time he took them out to play, they weren't working.

I know you can't really find these things in the store anymore, but if you're looking for DK Bongos for whatever reason, go with the official ones.

5 out of 5 stars Better then the Bongo's that came with the GameCube   December 5, 2005

If you have Donkey Konga 2 and want more Bongos these are the drums for you. They work better in groups then Nintendo's Bongos. The problem we ran into with Nintendo's Bongos was that the microphone would pick up the second person's clapping. While we didn't have that problem with the Pelican bongos. We are ordering 2 more so we can play 4 player at the same time.

For anybody who knows the ways of the bongos for Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Donkey Konga 1 and 2 for the Nintendo Gamecube, many of them know you have to have a pair of bongo controllers for the game. Pelican has offered a substitute for the original DK bongos for the Gamecube. The Pelican bongos, are a bit bulkier and larger than the original ones Nintendo made. They definitely work very well as a alternative if you can't find the ones for the Gamecube. However, it isn't really worth the price. Considering that you can actually by a pair of bongo controllers with a deluxe version of either the Donkey Konga games or Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. Many who have a huge interest in any of those games shouldn't consider this copycat beater, and just the ones Nintendo developed.
