Amazon.com Product Description Your job is to create and maintain a city that attracts new residents, while keeping your approval rating in good standing--to do this you must interact with each and every citizen of your city. It is only through befriending the people in your town that you will be introduced to new possible residents. Each citizen has a unique name and personality, along with various issues you must help them solve. Communication is the key. Metropolismania offers much more than just friendly greetings--conversations contain topics of discussion, quizzes, and clues on how to help accommodate the other people in town. There are five different stages, each with its own unique theme. The game offers a wide range of establishments to build: various businesses such as bookstores, restaurants, banks, and hospitals; residential housing such as apartment complexes, houses, and condominiums; and amusement facilities such as nightclubs, parks, and stadiums.

This IS a fun game!!! August 15, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Now, give this game some time. This is funny and wierd and different. It is a fun game for people who don't need twenty things going on every second. Do not navigate through your town at the closest level, be patient, and this game has Many surprises. This is probably the game I have kept playing longest of any PS2 game. You can always go back and keep building your towns. It does seem like it took a little while to get used to moving around. Jumping can be the best way. Now, grab your huge piece of chalk, and start making those roads!
One of the FUNNEST games! July 25, 2006 This game is sooo much fun. I must not be that much into PS2 games because I don't see what's so wrong with the graphics. Anyway, if you are looking for a fun, role-playing type game, then this game is for you (but, just in case you don't like it, make sure you're buying from somewhere with a return policy). This is one of the funnest games I have ever played, but you have to make sure that it doesn't get scratched, because once it gets too scratched up, it doesn't work, and then you have to buy another one (like me). So, game players, try this game today!
I'ts an okay game for the prtce you pay January 2, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I know many people have said alot of bad things about the game but it honestly isn't that bad for the money you spend on it. It can be tedious at time since your communication with people is limited to introducing yourself the first time and gossip to get people tolike you enough to interoduce you to more people or help with the complaints of your citizens. It has it's moments when you get annoyed when you can't find the help necessary and lose people because of it. But overall it is a charming little game that is worth the money you'll pay for it. It is addictive.
THIS IS THE WORST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT November 6, 2005 1 out of 14 found this review helpful
first off i could only play it once because it would not work on my PS2. when i did play it the grapics were horrid, the intro was as boring as possible, and then i still had no idea how to play! when i figured it out i fould it to be boring, there is no object to it you have nothing you "need" to do.i love any game but not this one and that is saying a lot. I like Harvest moon save the homeland witch many hated but i think many will agree that it is a lot better then this excuse for a game. yes excuse this should not even be counted as a game it should be counted as some stupid game company's lousy attempent at a game, wait no this wasn't even an attempt this was lazyness. The worst game you will ever find. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!
