4 out of 5 stars I love this game   December 17, 2006
This game is hard to find and out of print but it's a lot of fun. There are two different modes, you can play a bunch of "skirmishes" which are fun little challenges (games) with up to four people and against the computer. There are about different 40 skirmishes so you won't really get bored and keeps it challenging.

Beyond that, you can play the tournament which is like a video board game and you try to collect points. The better you do in the skirmishes the mroe points you get, and once the game board is completed, the player with the highest points wins. You play against 3 other players and/or the computer. Some of the skirmishes require teams of two, so they pair you up pretty much at random or based on the current points.

My girlfriend loves this game and I enjoy it too. Her favorite is "Brick Blaster"! too bad I beat her high score!! haha. great for hours of fun

4 out of 5 stars Entertains the whole crew   May 3, 2005

This is really a great game. I got it for the kids for Christmas last year and it's really fun to watch as well as play and I like to cheer on the underdog. It can get pretty rowdy. Even the grownups like it! Since it's hard to get the kids to want to do anything but play video games, it's great to have one that we can all play to together as a family and have fun doing it! My friend tells me she and her husband play it with his friends all the time too.

Sure the characters look a little funny and the announcer gets really annoying after awhile, but the non-violent, fun for the whole family aspect outweighs that, in my opinion.

5 out of 5 stars Great for kids and adults   December 10, 2003

When I bought our Playstation 2 I didn't have a clue to what game I should buy. I bought the Shrek game without reading any reviews. I guess it was beginners luck. Great game. You have two game modes. One lets you simply play the games you want, or the other that lets you play the Shrek game that allows you use a "bug trading" strategy against the other players. I think the fact that up to 4 people can play is a huge plus. I wish more video games had this feature. I bought a few highly rated games since, but Shrek ranks number one. Fun for the whole family.

5 out of 5 stars Love This Game!!   December 2, 2003

We originally got this game for my son who is 10. He really likes the game and we've had a lot of fun playing it together. It's definitely a game that gets played a lot around here. We squeal with delight when we can send Lord Farquad to the evil bog! We get burned out on it and stop playing it for a few weeks. Then, out it pops again from the video game drawer. It's a keeper!

5 out of 5 stars MY favorite game!   November 30, 2003

I originally bought this game for my 7 yr old nephew to play when he came to visit me, but I absolutly love it, and play it every chance I get! It is a lot of fun, very easy to learn, has adorable characters and will keep everyone occupied for a long time! I love that you can choose how long you want the game to last. (You change the amount of precious drops it takes to win the game.) This game is a must for anyone with young kids (or who's young at heart)!
