5 out of 5 stars Fun!   March 25, 2008
It takes a while to get used to the controls and to become accurate at "shooting pool" on the TV screen (I actually use PS3 to play this game -- I have the 40GB PS3 which plays PS1 games, but only the 80GB PS3 will play PS2 games). This Virtual Pol game is for PS1 but the balls and table actually look quite sharp on the PS3 (once you get past the intro videos -- I'm using an HDMI cable and 46" DLP TV). I'm playing the career level -- so if I don't win a game, I don't to save the results, allowing me to win more games and be able to unlock new levels without being the perfect pool player. Yes, this may be considered "cheating," but playing in the garage gets to be pretty tedious -- getting to the Hawg's Den gives the game some variety, and makes getting to the following levels an achievable challenge.
