Review May 9, 2008 This game is ok. Haven't played it very much. Will eventually get around to it.
Much better than strike force! January 24, 2008 I picked this game up recently, and I have to say it was a little difficult at first. But one you get the hang of it it's simple. It's much better than strike force bowling for one reason, It's much easier to get a strike. My best was 10 strikes in a row. In strike force bowling I could only get 2 strikes in a row. Although it doesn't have the cool features like strike force, it's still a good game. For me not being an avid bowler at all.

Put on those bowling shoes, grab a ball, and pick a lane to get started in Bethesda Softworks' AMF EXTREME BOWLING for the PS2. With amazing graphics, excellent bowling physics, and the chance to play against some of the biggest names in bowling, fans of the sport will love the game. AMF EXTREME BOWLING begins with players using a deep customization system to create their own bowler, selecting gender, hair color, eye color, clothing, and other accessories. Once this is done, it's time to hit the lane and bowl first against other newcomers and then, as players win more and more, against some of the biggest names in bowling. The game includes nine different bowling allies, each incredibly detailed and distinct. AMF EXTREME BOWLING also features dead-on bowling physics, so the ball will roll exactly like it would in real life and the pins will wobble and fall like they should. The game includes the single-player story mode, a quick game mode, and multiplayer play with a variety of options. This makes the game great for a party or for a night at home. Either way, gamers who love bowling will enjoy AMF EXTREME BOWLING.
Special Features: Advanced bowling physics; multiplayer modes; great graphics; features many of the top names in bowling.
Not a good game. January 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
the physics are easy to master. i bowled 6 strikes in a row and scored a 229 after 5 games. the graphics are ok, but the cut scenes are horrible. player creation is very detailed but the game only tracks your progress, not your bowling stats.
Worst bowling game ever!!!!!!!!!! January 3, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bowling video game fans are now very angry at the newest bowling games. This is probably the worst of them all. I don't have it, but just seeing videos of it make me thing this game is horrible. The graphics are bad, the pins don't even look like they are in 3D and the female bowlers look like some man wanting to be a girl! But the worse thing is the physics -they're horrible. The pins often go right though each other, and sometimes the ball goes right through a pin! The physics may even be scripted, meaning that you will get the exact same result if youb throw the same way. And this is a 3D game, allowing for even more possibilities, but the developers still tried to make the physics look horrible?
Overall, this is the worst bowling game ever. Bowling games were great when they first came out in the 90s, but the best developers shut down their companies. These days, bowling games are only fun on the cell phone. If you want a good 3D bowling game, get Bowling Evolution. It has unscripted physics AND it's FREE to download. But AMF 2006 is a total rip-off, the worst bowling game ever. Period.
