Not exactly the same. July 17, 2008
This isn't the same controller that came with your SNES back in the day. Looks the same and has the same part number, but the cord is half the length and the response isn't as accurate. If you want true-blue, then buy a used one...make sure the cord length is 6 feet so you know you're getting the right one.

not original nintendo controller, buttons do not work right (ex. when i press up or down it will usually go left or right) do not buy, screw this fake controller, cheap, need i say more.

The classic licensed controller April 20, 2008
This licensed controller lasts long and plays great. The only drawback is that the original Japanese controllers had differently colored buttons, and certain games of Japanese origin occasionally refer to the buttons by those colors. This is rarely a problem.

Nintendo's first party gear is usually high quality stuff, and their SNES controllers are no exception. Although years of use and abuse has shown that they aren't as bulletproof as a Genesis controller, they're still the one and only gamepad you'll ever need for your Super Nintendo experience.
I've tried using other controllers, and unless you need a Turbo or Rapid-Fire switch, this is what you need.
