Doesn't Work for 60GB Console July 31, 2008

I purchased this product from a seller on eBay. When it arrived I couldn't figure out how to make it work. I tried everything. I research numerous online instruction guides with no result. So next I wrote playstation.com. They sent me detailed procedures for transferring files to the PS3, still nothing. So I sent it back for an exchange, thinking the issue was just with this particular item. Wrong! When I got the replacement in it was the same story. I wrote playstaiton again explaining my situation. They replied stating that due to the fact that this is not a Sony product they would not be able to determine the cause of the malfunction. They added that most non-Sony adapters are not compatible with all PS3 models and that some just flat out don't work at all. I can't say weather this adapter would work on the 20GB or 80GB system but I can tell you this much, neither of the two products that I received worked for my 60GB console. Play it safe. Buy Sony.
