Quality Contoller, with minor issues January 17, 2008 The Joytech 360 Wired Controller is an acceptable replacement for a standard issue 360 wired controller. Similar button layout, with the notable exception of the "Start" and "Back" button will make sure players can quickly pick it up in the stead of a standard, and an inconspicuous shape and weight make it easy to hold for long gaming. The only notable downside experienced was it the inability to map out all the shoulder buttons when using the controller as a PC gamepad through a third party button mapping software. If you can find this controller for cheaper than a standard Microsoft Wired, I'd recommend it.
Bad Controller! October 5, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this controller about two weeks ago and its already broken. I plug it in and nothing happens home light isn't lighting up anymore. Before when it was working it was very unresponsive and the R button wouldn't work sometimes. Bad for games like Halo where you are constantly shooting.
Id suggest just coughing up 50 bucks for the Microsoft controllers.
Don't worry about the other review. September 14, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Now I know a lot of people are weary of 3rd party controllers and they should be; on 80% of them are sub-par. Also, some people believe the motto "You pay for what you get". You do know that sometimes, that motto is wrong?
On to the Joytech Neo SE Advanced Controller for the XBOX 360.
This controller will put you in the mind of a Controller S (original XBOX controller)once it's in your hands. It is light but it's very durable. What I like about it is that the start and back buttons are place where the Controller S were. The buttons are responsice and the D-Pad is very acurate, a must for fighting games.
The Analogs are responsive as well and they don't "drone" off to the left as some 3rd party controllers do at times after continuous use. The bumpers and triggers are fantastic as they are well spaced and gives the edge in FPS games.
Now there minor flaws. The handles are not sweat friendly so you might need to wipe your hands on those intense moments. Also, the mic jackport can be unresponsive in XBOX Live but a quick dis/reconnect should fix any communication problems. Alas, there is no wireless version of this controller, yet...
So in summary:
Pros +Great design +Excellent D-Pad +Very responsive
Cons
-Mic jackport needs to be dis and re connected at times to talk properly -Has "sweaty hands" syndrome at times -Not wireless
Overall, I think this is a steal at this price for this controller. The only other controller that beats this product is the Mad Catz XBOX 360 controllers.
Until next time, happy gaming!
Horrible August 10, 2007 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Stay away from this controller. It's very unresponsive, especially when using the digital pad.
