very cool September 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is one of the best games i've played since metal gear solid 3, (which i couldnt put down)i dont even own this game yet, i barrowed it from a freind and absolutly cant stop playing it.The controls, feel and story are like nothing i have ever played before. The feature where you get behind things to hide is brilliant, you can usually shoot it out from a safe distance, But i love running up to the bad guys to bust'em with with a butal hand to hand attack. The graphics are some of the best i have ever seen, The setting of being on a island is stunning. To me it looks better than real. If you own a ps3 you should really get this game, If your in to action adventure games. You wont be sorry
Drake's fortune is a game worth playing. September 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I throughly enjoyed this game. The graphics are stunning and the game play is spot on. I had heard that some people thought it was too short (about 10 hours play time), but I thought it was just right. I dont like getting caught up in games for 40 or 60 hours. I jump around from WoW to the Wii to my PS3 so I dont want to feel like I am trapped playing a game that goes on and on.
The game play was rather original to me. I liked how intuitive it played. The hint feature was really useful. I got lost sometimes, but I never felt the urge to give up or go seek help on a gaming site. In parts it fondly reminded me of the Dragon's Lair or Cliffhanger style arcade games of the past.
There are a good assortment of weapons and real good story arch to follow. The cinematics (and game play) are like watching (and playing a part in) a movie. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that has a PS3 and some time to be entertained.
