3 out of 5 stars Easy Achievements...   August 8, 2008
Unless you are a kid, or have a kid that really enjoy's this show...I can't really recommend playing this game all the way through. I won't say that is the worst game ever or anything like that. But it's just nothing all that special. HOWEVER!!! Let me just say that this is BY FAR, the absolute EASIEST 1000 Gamerscore points that you can get on the Xbox 360. In less than 5 minutes, you will have the opportunity to have obtained every achievement this game offers, and adding a nice 1000 points to your Gamerscore (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/avatar-the-burning-earth/guide/). So, unless you care about your Gamerscore, or you enjoy the show...I'd probably recommend passing on this one.

2 out of 5 stars All hail the king of easy achievement points.   July 28, 2008
Five minutes for a cool 1000 points, no game can touch that record.

If you're an achievement junkie you probably already know about this one, but if not, Avatar has five achievements based around a hit counter. You get points each time you add 10 hits to your counter and said counter resets each time you get hit. In the very first level of the game you can easily obtain all five achievements.

Will kids like it? Probably... I don't know. I review with the achiever in mind.

Go forth and unlock.

Our 9 year old says this game was fun but too easy for him. I've watched him play it for hours and he hoots and hollers with glee, so it must be fun!!

4 out of 5 stars Beautiful and entertaining game on the 360 for young Avatar fans   May 1, 2008

My 6 year old son is a fan of the Avatar TV series. We play father and son video games on weekends together. I have been very selective about what games to expose him to. This video game is true to the Avatar TV show. The Xbox 360 version is absolutely beautiful on a large HD monitor. The character voices, script and soundtrack are excellent. The game story line is entertaining for a 6-10 year old gamer. My wife and I enjoyed playing the game with our son in multiplayer mode. The game plays smoothly and is fun.

2 out of 5 stars Not from a kids point of view   March 9, 2008

I am not a kid and I am not a fan of the series so just disregard my review if you're looking to buy this for your kid/fan of the series. It is a very generic game with very little challenge that is so poorly made that the characters mouths don't even move when they talk. The graphics are sub par and the only thing I can give it credit for is the fact that you can play it 2 player to have fun with a friend if you're into that game. For people who enjoy playing games for achievements though, know that you can get all 1000 gamerpoints in about 2 minutes of gameplay so you can get the game, get the achievements, and then get rid of the game and move on with your life.
