3 out of 5 stars System lasted 2 1/2 years...   July 4, 2008
The Bad:

About 1 year prior, I was having a problem with the Eject function where I would have to manually push the disk carriage in order to open it. Also, the system is so noisy that the sound resembles my air conditioner. These are minor gripes however. The main issue was that after only 2 and a half years, I received the dreaded 3 red lights and the system was never able to start up again.

The Good:

The generous 3-star rating is a result of the fun I had during that short period of euphoria, playing classic games like Elder Scrolls - Oblivion, Gears of War, Fight Night 3, Forza Motorsports 2, and that wonderful sci-fi interactive movie masterpiece called Mass Effect. Luckily I still have my ps2 to play my dvds. I won't be purchasing a 360 any time soon, at least not until Mass Effect 2 is released.. and hopefully by that time, it will be multi-platform.

5 out of 5 stars For Gaming, this is the System to Own   July 1, 2008
I picked up the Xbox 360 after sitting on the fence about it for a little over 18 months after its release. If you are looking for the premier system for gaming this generation the 360 is the one to own. It has the best game library and probably the best gaming infrastructure behind it in Xbox Live.

The system runs excellent if not a little loud due to the fan. I have the system hooked up via HDMI to my TV and it works very well. Additional features such as the media capabilities to stream media from your PC to the box are nice. The real strength as I said is in Xbox Live. The achievement and profile system work very well and encourage you to really dig into your games. Online play via Xbox Live is extremely smooth and works very well.

Simply put the game library is also one of the biggest generation and has a little bit of something for everyone.

1 out of 5 stars Never received!   June 29, 2008

I ordered the xBox but it never showed up. Communication at first was decent but then it has dropped off. Excuses and never even received my money back. Be careful of this person. Do not bid with this person, purchase, trust, etc. I got screwed out of $350. - Jeff Yalden

3 out of 5 stars Geat system...great grames, lots of fun great graphics, hardware blows   June 28, 2008
Hey, i got my xbox 360 with all accessories and games from my friend moving to another country, since then i bought the wireless headset another wireless controller, and the wireless network adapter and have been having so much been using the component cables and connected it to my 32" sharp aquos and it looks amazing...probably so much better using the hdmi cable. i have been playing the mp live with all the games and even got GTA 4, NHL 08, and COD 4 and they are the best games, i have others but those are all i play...(u dont need much more then those games)
So i have told you about all the great fun it is....but overall the hardware sucks i had to send my xbox in for repairs 2 times...you shouldnt have to do that with something worth so much money and invested money into, all the accessories cost so much the games cost so much but when the system breaks u dont have it for 4 weeks while they fix urs, its just annoying as hell...i think i need to get one of those fans or intercoolers for it....my friend has no issues with his ps3 ever, and the controllers come already with rechargeable batteries. plus i realy want to play metal gear solid but thats only on ps3
