3 out of 5 stars Not terrible, average controller.   July 25, 2008
There are many more guitars better than this, and many more worse. Within a couple weeks the red button kept on getting stuck, so I was failing songs. I would have to take the controler and replug it several times for it to get connected. I would avoid this product and get a better guitar.

4 out of 5 stars great freedom   April 16, 2008
I bought this for my tweener son who loves it. I've tried it too & would have to agree. We have a toddler in the house & the wireless aspect allows the big one to play even when the little one is in the room. The range is really good too, he can play from the other room (granted, our house isn't exactly huge....) The only reason it got a 4 star instead of a 5 is that the yellow button sticks sometimes.

1 out of 5 stars Not Worth it   April 1, 2008

the issue with this guitar is that the buttons either stick or don't respond. additionally the whammy bar breaks VERY easily and stopped working shortly after i got the guitar. i found the shorter neck a pain because im taller than the average person. The star power is hard to trigger and the start and select buttons are placed that they get pressed a lot during play.
Overall poor quality and not low reliability.

3 out of 5 stars Not happy with this purchase   March 4, 2008
I bought this guitar for my girlfriend so we could play Guitar Hero together. She thought it was easy on the eye but didn't enjoy playing with it. This drove me to test it out myself. The verdict: the buttons were hard to press, the whammy was stiff and the tilt sensor drove us both nuts. Just attempting to get star power would make us miss multiple keys. This is all in comparison to the PS2 guitar included in the game bundle, which requires half the batteries (2, as opposed to 4).

The moral of this story is... only buy official accessories. That way you don't get any unpleasant surprises.

1 out of 5 stars Returned because it didn't work   February 22, 2008

We could not get this guitar to synch with it's wireless controller in the PS2, so we ended up returning it for a refund. Bought 2 others from Wal-Mart (different brand) and ended up returning them due to problems. We're on our 4th controller and we finally have one that works.
