The Storyline
The horrific nuclear conflict in the Middle East not only killed millions, it also crippled the world's fuel supply. With oil from that part of the world no longer available, crude oil prices skyrocket to $800 a barrel. The vast Russian landmass now holds the largest accessible reserves of fossil fuels, making Russia the world's primary supplier of energy virtually overnight. With the massive economic boom it receives, Russia quickly re-establishes itself as a superpower and restores her military might. In response most of Western Europe unifies to create the European Federation, a new nation destined to be a formidable 21st-century superpower. But things are also changing across the pond. In 2020, the United States is on the verge of finishing construction on the Freedom Star, a controversial orbital military platform that will upset the balance of world power. The European Federation withdraws from NATO in protest. Tensions between the European Federation, the United States, and Russia are building and will soon reach the breaking point.  Down Right Amazing! November 20, 2008
Endwar is an very deep and satisfying experiance. not only does it have great gameplay (featuring voice command) it also has a very captivating storyline. Instead of other RTSes which either jump way into the future or look at classic battles and scenarios, Endwar lives in the present. Endwar deals with a conflict only 8 years from the present and because of this the game is all too realistic. You feel like this scenario could occur and that's why Endwar is such a great game.

End War: Unit Combat November 20, 2008
End War Unit combat can sometimes get repeditive but requires a great deal of stratagy.The basic Rock Paper Scissors combat creates a new way to use stratagy. You need transports to defend tanks from gunships and you need gunships to defend your transports from tanks. While it can get repeditive the strategy of the system makes up for it.
Overall I rate the Unit Combat a Stunning 9.8 of 10

Tom Clancy's END WAR November 19, 2008
This Game is amazing it is the best RTS out their. The graphics and smoothness of the controls is great. every little command gets the results you want. the campaign is amazing i like how its like risk in a way and the battles are on such a massive scale it takes an hour or so to fight one. The voice commands take some getting use to but once you get the hang of it, you are much more effective. Over all the game is awesome.
Great Strategy Game November 19, 2008
This game is crazy awesome. For one thing, it incorporates a novel new idea, voice control. For me it is a ton of fun to order your troops where you want them to go with your voice and then watch as they follow your commands. On top of that this game provides a fun challenge. This is one of the few games i have played that actually has a difficult AI. Overall the gameplay just never gets boring and with so many modes it is endless fun.

First, the voice command is interesting and works very well. Generally, I found the graphics and gameplay to be pretty good.
As an RTS game, however, there's not much different here. True, you don't have to build bases, harvest resources and create units, which can be a pain. But just like all previous RTS games, End War finishes the same way-- ordering a rush of units against the enemy. You can try to do this in a strategic way, but there's no real point to it.
The single player campaign is a disappointment too. The underlying story is disjointed and boring-- you certainly aren't engrossed in the outcome of this conflict. The missions revolve around securing uplinks (which are forced into the overall plot in a way that makes little sense), destroying buildings in raids or eliminating all enemies on the board. Finesse not really required. Further, there's not much choice on how the war is prosecuted on a strategic level-- you just pick one of a handful of missions the computer sets out for you. And for some reason, I won the campaign after 12 missions without once tackling any of the hard missions. I couldn't believe it when the credits started rolling!
Now it's true that I haven't tried this on-line yet, where all the action may be. But from my perspective, this game took the "S" out of RTS. Worth a rental for sure, but not something you're going to go back to again and again. My $0.02.
