Product Description
F.E.A.R. Files is the complete stand-alone expansion pack series that features the all-new F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate campaign, as well as F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, voted "Best Expansion Pack" by PC Gamer, together in 1 package! F.E.A.R. Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended. Once the hunter, now the hunted, the new mission is simple? escape. All new locations, weaponry and enemies combine to take the F.E.A.R. franchise to new levels of action and suspense. F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate reveals a parallel story allowing players to take the role of a different F.E.A.R. soldier and battle new enemies that the original team never saw coming. It's an all-new experience that presents a different perspective of the events that occur at Armacham.

Product Description:

F.E.A.R. Files is a complete stand alone expansion pack that combines F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, the latest addition to the F.E.A.R. franchise, together in one box.

Features:
Includes all new single player levels, multiplayer maps, and story lines never before available on a console. Engage new enemies with a new, more powerful arsenal of weapons.

F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
In F.E.A.R. you aren't a soldier -- you are a weapon. A paramilitary force infiltrates a multi billion dollar aerospace compound taking hostages, but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in its best special operations teams, only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre is cut short by an unexpected wave of destruction that leaves military leaders stunned and in disbelief. With no other option, they send in the ultimate warrior: You.

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the Armacham facilities. Expect the intensity of battle to continue in the second expansion pack to the critically acclaimed first-person shooter, F.E.A.R.

5 out of 5 stars Great Additions to the FEAR story   August 6, 2008
Ironic there are 2 stories in this pack that go completely different directions in the telling and they both pull it off nicely. Lots of great new weapons to play with and new enemies in both. I'm bursting to not spoil some of the great new weapons, but let's just say that you won't be disappointed. There is one early scene in Perseus Mandate I absolutely love. Of course Alma and her boy Fettal is back and again...you really don't want to play this game at midnight...boo. :)

When this game came it was defective. I had no problems with exchange. The replacement worked perfectly. I really enjoyed the game once I got the one that worked.

5 out of 5 stars fear is good   July 19, 2008

This is about as good as it gets for FP shooters -
Even though it is a tad silly at times, it really is good fun.
I hope another fear files is in the works - I'll buy it!

5 out of 5 stars As good or better   July 4, 2008

The expansion pack delves a little deeper into the supernatural aspects of the original, and like the original goes and goes never seeming to end. If you liked F.E.A.R. I predict you'll enjoy the expansion packs tremendously.

3 out of 5 stars More of the same.   November 26, 2007

If you liked the original FEAR on Xbox 360, then you will like this standalone expansion pack. It's basically more of the same. I just got started on Extraction Point, and the thing that struck me right from the beginning is that it seems like a typical sequel. So far, nothing too out of the ordinary. The environments are pretty bland like the original. The gameplay is the same as the original. You can, however, start playing Perseus Mandate (which is brand new to the series) any time you like rather than having to complete Extraction Point first. The graphics might be a tad better than the original, but that's not really saying much. There are still your typical weird paranormal experiences splashed in with the typical fire fights as you roam through the typical halls of office buildings and churches. I didn't find myself being particularly scared like I did during the original FEAR. I guess I got desensitized. At any rate, if you don't mind more of the same you will be happy as a clam with FEAR Files.
