More than a game... A fun workout.! March 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got a sweet deal on an used XaviX console packaged with bowling, baseball & tennis. All were fun playing on my 42" HDTV so I thought I try their Boxing game as well. Resolution isn't HD level but it's passable and the game playability is high. Boxing really gets the cardio going. Training, Exhibtion or Championship bouts all keep you highly involved. You will feel like you had a good work out. And for us adults, it will show you how many calories burned. Best of all, it simply lots of fun! If I were to offer SSD any suggestions. They would be: Upgrade the console's composite output to include HDMI and offer more game packages!!!

Nice game, but you need to be in the line of the infra red to compute. This making a really strenous workout is somewhat difficult to stay in the "lines" of the swing.
xavix powerboxing January 1, 2008 We purchased this product for our son, but found that the whole family enjoyed playing it. It's a way to exercise and have fun at the same time. We would recommend this product.
I love to box with Xavix. July 25, 2007 I really enjoy the Xavix Boxing game.It is alot of fun and it is great exercise ,too.

The Xavix box may have to struggle to survive because it's not a Wii but it's a good product. (I've tried games on both and for some Xavix has advantages). This is a good cardio-vascular workout disguised as a game. Get in there and box until you get the hang of it and you will have some complaining muscles the next day - unless you box for a living! That's the marketing genius of this Jackie Chan "game" -- Exercise (ugh!) disguised as fun. You're competing, you're winning -- you're burning calories...It's a workout where you're not just counting reps...It's video, it's Fun! The only downside is that boys can get into the ring and win by punching girls in the face. This might send the wrong message... The Jackie Chan J-Mat game for Xavix offers even more "exercise disguized as a video game" fun. Buy a Xavix console and these two games, like I did, just to get your body moving and hope that Xavix will survive to expand their concept of (inter)ACTIVE gaming. It's something we all Should do and this makes it easier.
