5 out of 5 stars great game   December 22, 2001
The stellar single player action game challanges you to survive armed combat with aliens and government soldiers as you try to uncover a conspiricy worthy of something from the X-files. the game's cinematic presentation draws you into the action, and the well scripted story makes for an excellent game.

2 out of 5 stars Do not buy this game.   December 18, 2001

This game was programmed by Valve and published by Sierra. It has allowed and continues to allow players to cheat, see through walls, autoaim, and do other things they should never be able to do while playing multiplayer. Neither of these companies will take responsibility and it has been years since these cheats were discovered. Just know that if you buy this game you're supporting a couple of irresponsible companies. My two cents. You've been warned.

5 out of 5 stars This is the Best Package   December 9, 2001

This has to be the greatest package ever!

Half-Life: A great first-person shooter that involes strategy and action. Also a great mutiplayer option.

TFC: A great mod that is so much fun. You pick a class from spy to Sniper to demolish Man(My personal favorite) and defend your fortress while tring to attack your opponents Fortress. You win by taking emeny's flag

OPForce:Is a great game where you are the bad guys in Half-Life. A lot like normal Half-life.

Counter-Strike: Words can't not describe how much fun CS is. It is like Rainbow Six, but better. More people play this then unreal Tournement, Quake 3, Tribes 2, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein conbined. Only wish there was a single player mode. It also comes with Wanted, Redeption, etc popular mods.

Also try to get Blue Shift where you are a guard at Black mesa Reaserach Labs. A lot of fun.

5 out of 5 stars Unbeatable by far   December 6, 2001

I have played a lot of pc games when I have spare time and I am constantly selling old and buying new games. Halflife however, is one of the rare games I have kept on my shelf. It exceeds standards far beyond that of title such as "Quake2" and I personally feel it can still hold its own against games such as "Quake3 arena" and "Unreal tournament". Its one of those games that once you have it you can't get rid of it and it still manages to be replayable time after time when you have that feeling in your gut that you just have to kill a few more aliens to satisfy your craving! Don't get me wrong, I don't sit at my computer 24/7. I'm hardly on it at all now but from time to time when I am it is one of the games I'll plug in and kill until the cd melts from overuse! The onlly word I could realy use to describe it is 'unputdownable!'. Its one of those games you have to go out and buy and experience for yourself, otherwise you won't have a clue what im talking about. Its a classic, BUY IT, PLAY IT, ENJOY IT!!!
