Fable = Excellent December 8, 2007 I have not played the lost chapters yet. But I owned this title when it came out for about a year and enjoyed it very much. A lot of people are complaining about the control schemes for magic users and I found it to be absolutely fine. There are hot keys that you hold down to access your spells quickly in midcombat without having to load another screen or cycle through a slot and pull a trigger. It's all set up so you hold a button and hit another button and it works pretty seamlessly for me. You can also set up groups of spells that work well together (groups of three) so that you can access them together in battle and you can actually switch to your next group of hotkeyed spells pretty quickly.
It's a simplistic fun to play game. You can sink a lot of time into it and it's enjoyable. It's a dream game to me. Hidden special weapons to find. Side quests. Hack and slash fights and power ups and magic. Upgradable weapons and changable outfits and all kinds of items that effect the character's stats and alignment. Awesome. You can become more evil by eating baby chicks. I mean what more can you ask for seriously?
Fable: The Lost Chapters Worth a Revisit December 7, 2007 Fable: The Lost Chapters is a fantastically replayable role-playing game for the original XBox. With an engrossing fantasy environment, exciting combat system, and sense of humor, Fable: TLC is a must-buy for an RPG fan who owns an Xbox. I personally plan on buying an XBox 360 for this game's sequel.
If you love the idea of a highly customizable character who is able to make constant moral decisions that affect how other characters treat him (not to mention your heroes own physical appearance), you should give this game a chance. The storyline is fleshed out considerably in The Lost Chapters edition, putting many pieces together and offering a new land for exploration.
The key question for most people reading this is whether The Lost Chapters is worth buying even if you already own the original Fable. It was definitely worth the purchase to me (especially now that the price has dropped this low). If you are interested in revisiting the world of Albion with a new unique character, you owe it to yourself to try out The Lost Chapters.
Fable.. oldie but goodie December 3, 2007 I just played through Fable for original Xbox on my Xbox 360 and I was very satisfied, tons of fun, highly recommended!
Great Fun! November 25, 2007 This game is not only fun but also hilarious! Only a couple of down sides to this game, the targeting system sucks and a few mini card games are really frustrating because of the controls. Other then that well worth playing to get a good laugh and have some great fun. I really cannot wait to play Fable 2!
Just Shy Of Great November 22, 2007 Fable Is A Fun Game, Good Story, But The Chices You Make Are Pretty Cut And Dry, Good Or Evil, There Is Really no In Between. It Can Get A bit Repetetive But That Could Be Just Me. Overall I Say Its A Good Buy
