eh.... i dunno June 9, 2008 i think this game was hyped up just a lil bit. It hasnt been what i expected. great graphics however.
Great idea, needs to be tweaked a bit June 2, 2008 This review will be a bit biast, but from my perspective, it cannot be helped. I am a bit of a ninja myself and aside from killing people...climbing and stealthy movements are in my blood. This game probably most accurately describes my physical lifestyle: climbing up things and having people tell me not too.
This game is incredibly repatative, jsut in a different setting each time. You save innocents from guardsmen, pickpocket, ease drop and climb high up to get a better viewpoint. Expect to do this many times over throughout the game.
The scenery is wonderful, the story is not bad either, but unless you really love the running, jumping and climbing in games, you have a great chance at becomeing bored with the gameplay before finishing the story.
I greatly look forward to the next installments of this game, hopefully they will add a few more twists as well as increase the variance of missions to add to the gameplay.
Unfortunatly, this game has very little replay value and no real unlockables.
Assassin's Creed June 2, 2008 Great graphics, and an interesting storyline. This game is definitely worth a rental, but because of its slow pace, I could see how some gamers might not think it warrants a purchase. I'm enjoying it though, and I look forward to the inevitable sequel that will tighten up the gameplay and hopefully amp up the action.
Pure smoke! May 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ubisoft sold us smoke, this game is not what it was supposed to be, not even close... lately I've been wondering what is Ubisoft's problem with so many bad games (if not all) for the PS3, take Haze for example and not developing Splinter Cell for PS3, among other examples.
Back to the Assassin's Creed, by the time it was released had amazing graphics, not anymore comparing it with Drake's Fortune or GTA 4. The missions are repetitive and doesn't get any harder.
The worst is that the game is very short, one week and it's done. The whole game could had been one long chapter of other game. The best thing is the history (but could had been better).
Overall rating: 5.5 out of 10. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a much better game, not to mention GTA 4 or MGS 4.
Great...for 1/2 price May 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would be a lot less happy with this game if I would have paid full price for it. But seeing as how it was 1/2 off I'm really glad with the purchase. The gaphics are AMAZING, truly next-gen. The play gets repetitive but it's fun none the less. If you can get it for under $40....a MUST have for the PS3.
