I have been a fan of COD since it's 1st generation. However, the more I play it, the more boring it gets.
Why? This is because I have feel that other than the background, nothing has been changed.
COD4 is now offering a modern background, however, it's more like replace the old battlefield to a modern place, period.

I loved the game. The grphics are amazing the control of characters and periods of time where, generally, you don't get to was a nice touch. I thought the beginning was more fun than the end as they threw in different scenarios other than general ground combat...think contolling a helicopter and bombing a roof top.
The game was just to short. I was am not an online gamer...I just don't have the time to devote to becoming proficient enough not to die in the first 30 seconds, so I was really disappointed with the off line length. other than that...the game was a delight.

The online play is what sets this game apart. One of my favorite games ever played.
