so much fun just like the other ratchet and clanks, this is a great series, I have played the other ones before this and this one if my fav. I can't wait for the new jak and dexter to come out.

Being a ratchet and clank fan, i had many expectations for this game before it came out. I expected it to have a great story mode, some good graphics, some great homorous cut scenes, and have the greatest blow up action any game could have. I bought this game 6 ago and played it up. and After trying every feature, every nook and cranny, and beating it a couple thousand times, i have to say, sony has hit the jackpot.
Ratchet and Clank, TOD, has done the best ever to make this a great gaming experience. The graphics are just breath taking. dont get me wrong, the cities and environments in the game look like real things. Insominiac games have definitly can make anyones day through them. The story is just addicting. trust me, 20 minutes in the game and i felt like i was hooked for life. I felt bad that i had to play through the whole game to find out the lombax secret(im not giving any spoilers here) But i came through eventually. the game play is not too hard and not too easy. the characters have definitly been showed some creative thought to make ratchet a thing of the future. the cut scenes have some good humor, mabye not as good as the others, but that can be easily forgiven for and huge ratchet and clank fans.

Fun: should i have to give it a grade? you would know the answer!

This game IS the reason to own a ps3 today. it feals like playing in a movie and anyone interested in that would agree with me with this game. Happy playing and happy smashin!

In today's generation if a video game isn't great it isn't worth buying at all. 60 bucks is too steep to be playing crappie games. This game shows the true processing power and gameplay every ps3 game should have. For this being my first R&C game it was truly amazing. The designers did a fantastic job for the use of the sixaxis tilt since most games use it in an awkward way or not at all. I'm not going to spoil the game for you but if you have ever played jak and daxter or crash bandicoot then you will like this one.

There are already over 120 reviews for this game and I'll try not to repeat anything already written. So, this is not a comprehensive review.
I have 4 kids from ages 5 to 9 and they simply love this game. It's very appealing and intuitive, as even my 5 year-old can do amazing things with Ratchet, including fighting, jumping, and selecting the right weapon for battle (there are quite a few to choose from). My kids understand the concept of gathering "bolts" (the equivalent to money in the game) to buy weapons, ammo, armour, etc. They even know how to "upgrade" their weapons to increase their power by collecting "raritanium" (another type of money in the game).
The game does not overwhelm you with all these choices at first, you slowly grow into it. I enjoy the game myself, and even as a computer professional (I'm a Software Architect), I can't do a few things in the game quite as well as my kids.
I'm not pulling your leg on this one: there was one instance I couldn't slide, jump, and battle. I gave the controller to my oldest kid (9). She couldn't do it either. Then the other 2 kids tried. Same thing, we all failed. Then my 5 year-old came in... and I promise you, it's the truth: he did it! I was floored and this is to prove that the game is e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t at appealing to all age groups. I don't need to tell you how happy and confident my youngest kid was afther this, as his older siblings cheered for him. It was a family feel good moment.
There are a lot of "hardware" destruction which makes it fun, and there is no "killing", it's more like "destroying". It's comparable to Lego Star Wars (we have them both) but my kids prefer this one by far, as it is more colorful, action packed, and more challenging. Yet, it's not hard enough for a 5 year-old to have a blast.
In a few parts of the game some kids may not be able to get by at first (i.e. flying). However, right now my kids can play the full games almost 100% on their own.
If you have kids, this is a must have game, no questions asked.

I bought this game 1 month after I bought my ps3 to justify my purchase(my first ps3 exclusive) The only thing that needs to be said about this game its that is fun. The weapons are creative, the graphics are awesome, and the gameplay is addicting. Just read the other reviews.
