4 out of 5 stars Good Keyboard for HTPC   November 27, 2008
Not sure why some people have beef with this product but it's just right for a HTPC. It's lightweight and has a good look and feel to it. In my opinion doesn't have a cheap feel to it like some people claim. I'm only going to be using it when I'm on my powerhouse of a HTPC so it's perfect for that. Being able to turn the power off makes the batteries last much longer. Bluetooth provides great range as well. Again satisfied with this product and Amazon. Keep it up.

5 out of 5 stars Keyboard Works Great!   November 11, 2008
The keybord is very nice! it interfaced with my PS3 without any issues. I use it to surf the net on a 60" TV.

I only wish it had a cap lock indicator. So at glance you could look down on the keyboard and see the status of the cap lock function.

4 out of 5 stars Workes GREAT with Vista   November 1, 2008

As I'm about to have surgery on my knee, I was looking for ways to use my computer from places other than a desk.

This keyboard works just great with a normal Windows machine, assuming you have bluetooth support on that machine.

The pros:

1) price is a third of the fancier Logitech BT keyboards

2) it's really light and thin, and sits on my lap very well

3) touchpad seems very responsive and the scroll area on the right is a good substitue for a center mouse wheel, my wrist feels more relaxed than with a mouse

4) the extra 2 left/right mouse keys on the left bottom allows smooth and easy two handed text selection

The cons:

1) there is no Windows key, although you could download the Microsoft custom keyboard mapper and assign the menu key in the top left as the Windows key if you really want

2) the claimed batter life is 200 hours, although there is an on/off switch, so that might mean a month of full day use

3) the shinny black surface picks up fingerprints easily

4) the BD-DVD menu key along the top is probably useless

5) Slight adjustment getting used to the 2 wide by 3 high home/end/insert/delete/pgup/pgdown layout, my other keyboard is 3x2

6) no caps lock light

7) no extended lower flat space to support for my wrists, although with the keyboard in my lap I can almost type with my wrists on my legs

8) no center mouse button, although this is very rairly used

Logitech should market this more for normal dekstop machines and home theatre system, and perhaps have a Windows centric layout version.

Overall, a great bluetooth keyboard/trackpad for the price!

3 out of 5 stars Functional, useful but relatively expensive - it could become obsolete soon   October 29, 2008
I need a keyboard for my PS3, mostly to enter passwords or whatever other short text strings may be called for while surfing the Web. If you are like me and this is all you needed a keyboard for, then the Playstation 3 Wireless keypad (to be released in November) could be a VERY attractive alternative because it is so much smaller and it can be attached directly to a Sixaxis.

The keyboard is battery-powered and the batteries seem to last forever. I don't believe I've changed them since I first started using the keyboard, a few months ago but I am not a heavy user. It's good to know that it comes with a little touch pad and 'mouse' buttons so if you are comfortable with it, you won't need a mouse.

Overall judgment: it's much better than it looks. For moderate use with a PS3, I have no major complaints, it's the right implement. However, I would NOT use it with a computer, especially if I was into writing big novels - there is a 'cheap' feeling to it that does not seem to justify the relatively high price.

5 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE   October 27, 2008
I bought this not really knowing what to expect, but now im glad i did. i do not own a computer so i bought the ps3 for its internet capability also.

First off if you dont own a ps3 and you are thinking about ordering this with it get it. or else you have to type in character by character on every website. if you own a ps3 then you already understand

my fear with this product being wirless is that it couldnt keep up with my typing speed like some wireless devices (avg 80-100 wpm) but it keeps up well and the battery life is great (still reccomend rechargables). it functions just like a computer keyboard(im using it now through the ps3) and its light weight and matches the ps3. the mouse on it is ok (i still find myself using the remote to scroll with) but the mouse takes awhile to get used to. over all its a great keyboard and its well worth the price, they could sell it easy for $100 so for how much it is its worth it if you'll find yourself getting online, or just leaving your ps3 friends messages.
